With all the amazing indian places in London I would definitely give this place a miss. I’ve even had better indian food in America. The location itself is nice and the place is rather large and modern looking. The service also isn’t bad and they serve you your food quickly. But the quality of the food isn’t up to par. I really wanted to like this place as I live nearby but it just didn’t hit the mark. I also think that it is a bit overpriced for the portions and quality.

Overall, decent Indian food at an almost decent price. Service was poor as we could never figure out who our waiter really was and our appetizer arrived well after our dinners were served.

This was my first real Indian food experience in London so I was just impressed with the step change improvement of taste, variety, ambiance and service of Indian cuisine compared to the US. Everything was great and would go there again.

over priced for what you get. Lacking in good service and flavor. No chicken tikka masala

Lovely lunch this afternoon at Masala Zone. The staff was nice and the food was very tasty! I never had a veg thali before so I was intrigued when the waiter recommended it to me. It was perfect because I wanted a variety of flavors and that’s exactly what I got! I definitely recommend this place for a quick lunch when you need to get back to the office within an hour.

I just absolutely loved this place. The décor was artsy, modern and colorful. They had a great selection of Thali’s which is a selection of foods on a big metal tray including meats(or vegetarian dishes) or both, naan or chapati, pappadam, sauces, rice and dal for a decent price from 11 to 15 English pounds. I choice the Madras Railway chicken which had a brown cinnamon spice creamy sauce that was lovely. The Butter Chicken was also a yummy flavorful delight. The dal was perfect, slightly runny and filled with herbs, the garlic naan was not too garlicy so I would beg for cheese naan next time(although it says you can only substitute garlic or plain naan for your chapati for a supplement of 1 – 2 English Pounds. Unfortunately our group of 7 had to be seated at 2 different tables so call ahead if you have a big group. This is a chain restaurant that doesn’t feel like a chain. I have traveled to India and this place rivals the flavors from my trip yet not the price(of course)! I am planning on eating here every time I visit London.

I missed the strong indian spices. I love indian food, but I could make better indian at home. My boyfriend had hair in his food. The portions where a bit small. Naan bread was thin and not tasty. The tip wasnt optional, it was added 12% eventho we didnt want to add. Bad experience.

Excellent food. Was really tasty and well presented. Excellent service — quick and efficient service. I’m gluten free and the staff were helpful and knowledgeable(yay) whilst my two dining companions didn’t feel limited. The gluten free options were wide ranging for the mains. Worth a visit.

Went here while visiting London and came back once more. It is definitely one of the better options in Earls Court if trying to find something other than a pub. It has a much more authentic flavor than most Indian food I’ve tried in the states. Given how expensive most restaurants are in London this one is fairly reasonable.

Food was bland and portions were unbelievably small. I brought with me two people who had never eaten indian food and asked the waitress to describe some of the dishes — she instead described the layout of the bizarrly laid out menu and left me to teach the diners about the food! Service was mediocre — i told the waitress of my two food allergies(mango and cilantro/coriander leaf) and the plate still had the mango chuntney and the garnish. I removed them and tried to eat. it was soo bland it just tasted like chicken gravy instead of a curry! poor poor food, esp for the cost The salted lassi with cumin was good.

The chicken tikka is flavorful but not overpowering, and very moist. The garlic naan and mango lassi are also delicious! The service was prompt and friendly, and the atmosphere is fun and cozy, even in such a busy area as Earl’s Court. I do wish the portions were a bit larger for how much they are charging, though.

Love Masala Zone. The most stand-out place in the cluster of restaurants near the Earl’s Court station, in my opinion. It’s tough to beat the value of their regular/grand Thalis, which lets you sample a number of curries and veggie dishes via their colorful palette of piping-hot tastiness. Stayed in this area on vacation and ended up eating here two of three nights. Authentic food, open late, friendly service. The interior is very lively with sound of many languages representing the diverse London population. Wish they’d expand their chain to the States: D

We have been to this restaurant twice in the last 6 weeks while on holidays. Both times the service has been outstanding as has the food. The atmosphere was great and all the staff were extremely friendly and made our dinner special. We would highly recommend eating here, the good is very tasty!

Ate here for dinner. Food was tasty but had a problem with the hygiene in the restaurant. I noticed that the cooks place the order slip in the food when it’s ready. Also the cooks and waitresses handled the naan bread with their hands. I just think that hygiene should be better. I also thought that the meat portions were a little small.

Not spicy enough which makes it less authentic. The thali was good but I didn’t like the butter chicken. For me anything that’s spicy is good. I don’t think I’ll go again. Also I have made better sweet lassi. Very average. Staff was good, like other reviews I didn’t find the service slow.

Masala Zone is an Indian restaurant with several locations around London. I visited the Earls Court location and really enjoyed the experience. The atmosphere of this place made me feel like I was back in India with the dark setting and the aroma from the kitchen. We ordered a variety of starters including the Sev Puri and Dahi Puri. They were all delicious and I could have eaten it all by myself! For my main course, I chose the thali which is a traditional Indian platter loaded with little bowls of various treats. Everything I tried was good. The most amusing thing for me about this place is fact that they had Masala Coke. I first had a Masala Coke in Delhi, India. I remember tasting this creation on the streets of Delhi thinking that my friends had pulled a joke on me. It was quite possibly the worst thing I’d ever tasted. So when I saw this rancid thing on the menu here at Masala Zone, I realized that my friends back in India had not pulled a joke on me. I had to try it again here at Masala Zone and while it still wasn’t very good, it was a lot better than the one I had back in Delhi. 4 stars for Masala Coke and making me feel like I was back in India.

Das Masala Zone als Restaurantkette bietet unteren Durchschnitt. Geschmacksneutrale Saucen beim Curry. Leider nicht ansatzweise so gut wie ein guter Inder, von dem es in London hunderte gibt.

Food was fine. I went with family. They thought food was fine. I thought Malabar green Chicken is AMAZING. Horrible service though. Asked for coffee before meal, got it during and had to wait till after. At least it was free then. Slow service all the way through: Order, get food, pay bill. Spices were not great. Food was decent fare, but I’ve seen better.

Finally, I found an Indian restaurant in London that didn’t try to overcharge, extra charge, or, false advertising of a happy hour. Floor staffs were efficient and knowledgeable, friendly and courteous. And the food here was excellent. They have good selection of wine, too. I recommend this place to those who are not too expert on Indian cuisine. There are many located through London. My favorite is Earls Court location. I suggest to avoid those individually operated Indian Restaurants if you are not local. They will most likely try to cheat. It’s not a good way to end your meal if you have to doubt the bill and question about it.

Very mediocre and somewhat bland indian food. The prices are not too bad for london. We got the regular thali, which has a choice of curry in small size, with a couple of side dishes on a silver platter, and then a curry with rice. I don’t remember the names of the two types of curries we got but they were both of the spicy nature and they weren’t that spicy. The quantity of the curry on regular thali is actually pretty small and we didnt really like all the side dishes that came with. I wasn’t impressed.
