Matalan Clearance Shop

You know that if you’re only buying clothes from the Matalan Clearance Store in Wood Green you’re probably only a few steps away from being on skid row.
Putting cynicism aside for one minute, there are some clothing bargains to be had here. There seems to be a lot more womenswear than menswear.
Not for the faint hearted, everything is pretty mashed up together a la TK Maxx.
This mess and the sheer variety of styles drives me absolutely nuts, and my brain overloads within about 5 minutes in this type of place. Give me the Gap anyday. The clothes are fairly pedestrian but if there are only 4 different jumpers you can easily choose one and get the hell out and continue with life.
Hopefully I won’t be flamed for saying so, but maybe this is a gender thing, there are plenty of women at Matalan clearance who seem to be very content rifling through the hundreds of racks.
