i decided to take a shot in the lateral streets of Camden town and of course it started to rain. Fortunately there was something completely unexpected: a comic book store. I’m not a collector for comics anymore but i decided to have a look while it was raining: the place was a nice surprise. It’s not huge(especially compared to «the Forbi») but it is well organized and tidy. What i found nice is that there were not only comic geeks(like myself) but also families with children looking for comics. In the end i could not avoid to look for Vertigo Titles and being the weak willed guy i am, i bought two comics of HELLBLAZER for 1 pound each!

I visited this shop during my trip to the UK from the States. In my first attempt to visit this shop I was surprised to find it closed in the middle of it’s posted store hours! Maybe someone had to run an errand? I wish someone put a sign up to at least apologize for being closed during normally posted hours. No biggie, but I take off one star here. On my second attempt it was open. It’s a decent sized shop and it’s easy to find. There are plenty of back issues but most are from the early 90s onward. You can find some silver age issues pinned up high on a wall. I wish there were more silver and bronze age issues so minus one star here. The shop is also well stocked with TPBs, posters, and other super hero gifts. The comics are a bit expensive for an American tourist like me but I walked out with a few in my hands as a souvenir of the shop. It’s worth a visit if you are in London!

Fantastic range of comics old & new for the cognoscenti. Come off the main drag of Camden Town into this quieter street & you will be delighted to see what you can purchase
