A typical English-style café(run by a Turk). Chips with everything menu, huge choice and cheep. worth the 5 minute walk from the high street. There is plenty of seating inside. This is a welcome relief from the pretentious gourmet restaurants in Wandsworth.

It’s testament to the fact that traditional British breakfasts kick a huge amount of ass when you see Mehmet’s going strong, and posh bakery type place Crumpet over the road out of business. Mehmet’s is an ace little place. Full on huge, hot portions, comfy seats, strong coffee and fast service. It’s no frills, a few pictures decorate the walls, but there are nice big windows to check out all the fun of suburbia walking past. The prices are cheap as can be, but this doesn’t reflect badly on the place — the black pudding is one of the best I’ve ever tasted, and you can see the entire kitchen, so you can tell it’s nice and clean. Need a breakfast that’ll last you pretty much all day — hit it up!
