Best veggies on Chatsworth Road. The produce always is fresh and the prices are cheap. They’ve recently done a revamp to the store and now stock lots of organic and glutenfree dry goods, as well as almond/soy/etc… milks. The employees are all very friendly, and always have a ‘good morning’ or ‘hello’ when I walk by. If only they were butchers too… I wouldn’t have to shop anywhere else!

Great local greengrocers. Not fancy, but everything is top quality. Everything has its season, and you will often find cheap boxes of Alfonso mangoes, cherries, grapes, tomatoes, lychees and so on out the front. Cheaper by the dozen In the back you’ll see Iranian dates, yams, all kinds of pickles and exotic bits and bobs. Their speciality is serving the Turkish community, so cucumbers come in 3 or 4 varieties, pitta bread is the cheapest and freshest in the area and pide comes fresh every day. Herbs, tomatoes and peppers are cheaper than Asda and Tesco by a long way. Buy fresh, buy cheap, buy local

I love this place! A more diverse selection of fruit and veg will not be found for miles around! This business is owned by a lovely Turkish family that is friendly and helpful. The quality of the produce is top notch. I have come here so many times and have NEVER been disappointed in the freshness of the produce. I don’t know how they do it. Lucky Chatsworth Road residents. England would be a far healthier place if we all had regular access to a place like MFR Fruit and Veg! Wish they would take debit cards though…

If you ever go to the«Last of the Real High Streets» exhibit in Chats Palace(just down the road from this place), you’ll see a photo of the proprietor, posing uncomfortably, with a little bio about how he’s up at some ungodly hour every damn day to bring you fresh green groceries. It tells you a lot about the guy who owns this little green grocer. Some things I could get at a shop nearer to my house, but I choose to go here. Why? They know their veggies. They’re not pre-packaged and made to shine unnaturally in bright light. They’re just good quality fruit and veg. And that’s ALL they sell. Well, maybe a few staples and spices as well, but their focus is the produce. One of the reasons my bf and I bought the place we live in now is because of this place. You don’t often find a place with such great fruit and veg for fair prices around here. The tangerines and satsumas are the best I’ve had in London. I’m in there pretty much every day, since we cook at home most of the time. I always get a nice hello and smile, even when I just pass by.

This is a fantastic greengrocer with a huge selection of fresh produce at absolutely unbeatable prices. I shop here regularly in order to top up my weekly organic fruit and a veg box(although the produce here is not organic). Don’t ask me how they do it, but somehow they manage to offer fruit and veggies that are not only of much better quality that anything you could get at a supermarket, but that are also much more affordable. Plus, the opening times are very convenient and the place is run by extremely friendly people(who will recognise and chat with you when you come in more than once) — so what more could you want? Local businesses like this beat chain stores by a million at any time. Note: they only accept cash.

This greengrocers on Chatsworth Road is fantastic. Run by a very nice Turkish family, the quality of the produce, while not organic, is outstanding. I usually go in and buy huge bags of red peppers, fresh mint and basil, potatoes and other essentials, olive oil, nuts, and even jars of fresh horseradish(guaranteed to make you cry!) and it never comes to more than £10. Unbelievably good value; a very pleasant shopping experience.
