Originally part of the same estate with the nearby ‘millionaires square’ Gibson Square. This square had a slightly less luxurious history, with original architects plans not completed, removal of some features in the 1930’s, and a general decline. In 1973 it was developed as council housing. The look of the housing is still very similar to Gibson Square. Definitely very grand for council houses! The gardens in the centre have just been done up as well, with paths freshly tarmacced. It’s not as pretty as Gibson Square, most of the space being taken up by a children’s play area and games court. No dogs allowed, but a ‘useful’ little patch for those in the area that don’t have dogs.

A bit of a small grubby park with a playground and concrete football pitch. It has several benches most of which are broken as. Definatly not one to travel out of the way for but for children it’s a reasonable place to play.
