Comparable to all the«famous» Pakistani restaurants in Southern California, this place has the best table arrangement, spotless clean table cloths, and relatively high end cutlery. Absolutely the cleanest bathrooms of any Pakistani/Indian/Mediterranean restaurants I have ever been to in America. Food is great and service is impecable. Biryani and kulfi ice cream is highly recommend.

I hate to complain but this has to be done… Terrible, terrible management. We were listening to authentic Indian music in the background and loud baby songs by the customers next to us «Wheels on The Bus». Asked management if they could have a word & they said No — said we would leave as it was more relaxing at home — and they shrugged & said ok — appalling — food was warm, poppadoms fried in stale fat & all 3 of us have stomach aches! NEVER again

I’d rename it Meh-ran Masala, or better yet, never order from here again. Meal was passable, and I didn’t get sick or stay hungry so all is well but ugh why does delivery Indian have to be so disappointing?

Very good Indian food near to Kensington Olympia. I enjoyed everything we had — naan, aloo methi, pappadums, rice pillau, and murgh makhani(butter chicken). The only comment I could make is that I wish the butter chicken had been a bit more creamy. Otherwise, highly recommend this restaurant for quick & affordable Indian food.

Pretty good food. Naan was great. Chilli Chicken pretty good and decent pilau rice. Pretty decent value for money. Would definitely visit here again!

Great food, great service. Visiting London on vacation and found this yummy restaurant near our hotel. The menu has a variety of food that will satisfy everyone in your party even vegetarians like myself. I had the Saag Paneer and my husband had the Coconut Prawns — both were delicious. I wish we were staying longer so we could eat here again. The wait staff were friendly and very observant. If we ever get back to London, Miran Marsala will be on our list.

I’m going to go out on a limb and give Miran Masala two stars because I didn’t enjoy my experience here at all. I’m also going to go out on a limb and say this establishment is catering to the typical Brit curry taste(read non authentic). We went in for a quick bite and it become a really quick one as we didn’t enjoy anything we ordered and no one, including the owner seemed least concerned. The lamb seek kabab, the daal gosht(lentils cooked with lamb meat) and the chicken biryani. The husband sampled the first two meat dishes & gave the seekh kabab 2 stars and the lentils 2 as well. The verdict as per him, the seekh was chewy and not cooked through. He also commented that the lentil-meat dish didn’t taste fresh enough — like it had been cooked and was simmering for a long time. On the plus side, there was a lot of meat in the lentil dish so they didn’t skimp on it. The disappointment of the evening though was the Chicken Biryani — it had all sorts of veggies in it — green peppers, beans, peas, big huge chunks of tomatoes and it was more like a vegetarian pulao with dry wrinkly pieces of chicken in it. This is NOT Biryani– at least not the traditional dum biryani. This one was an evolved fast food version that was semi sweet and nothing like what I’ve ever eaten or imagined biryani to be. When I asked the elderly gentleman/owner what kind of biryani it was, he tried to convince me it was a Lahori version(a city in Pakistan). It’s not. I’ve sampled Lahori and Pakistani biryani all over the world… try Tayyab’s in London’s East End or Al Markaz in Dallas, Texas or Barbecue Tonight in Dubai to sample real biryani. If that doesn’t work, please ping me and I’ll give you the recipe!

Food was great. I enjoyed the chicken tikka Marsala, and the lamb dishes. Service was excellent, will definitely return whenever I’m in town.

It’s just around the corner from where I live. I went here for my 23rd birthday on a quiet Friday lunchtime, not expecting much. However my 2 sisters and I were pleasantly surprised, the food and service were amazing. We had the chilli chicken, chicken biryani and chicken tikka masala, which were all so fresh and flavoursome. This is authentic South Asian food, and this is coming from a Bengali person! There were 2 other customers, one of them told the waiter that this was the best Indian food that they have ever tasted. That’s definitely saying something.

First of all, this restaurant should be categorized as Indian and not Pakistani food as it is clearly marked Punjab Indian food on their window. There aren’t a lot of restaurants in this part of London so this place really stands out. We ordered garlic naan, samosas, and chicken tikka masala and the food was great and a reasonable price. We had coconut ice cream for desert which was also very good.

What a delight to find this restaurant buzzing on a Monday night, including some Indian/Pakistani guests. The food and service were great. We had Kahari Chicken Masala and Saag Aloo, good naan and rice for less than £20 for two. Next time we will try the sizzling prawns — they looked and smelled wonderful.

The lamb ghosh was good. The daal dengi was ok. Not sure if that was the restaurants fault or I just don’t like the dish, the naan was not what I expected of a naan. It was ok at best. Too thin for my taste, The kheer was amazing. Incredibly rich. Not sweet enough for me… but then I don’t think anyone makes things sweet enough for me. To my utter surprise I still recommend it! The price for all the above food was 18 pounds… that’s pretty amazing.

Great value for money. 65p for a popadum. £2.50 for a plate of onion bajee which was enough to feed three. The Chilli Chicken was very tasty as was the Bhindi Bajee and my only criticism was that the Lamb Jalfrazi had a bit too much Ghee for my liking. No corkage charged was a bonus, as well as the good service.

Unilocal is restoring my faith in London’s curryhouses. I went to Miran Masala on the way home from a late-ish work night(absolutely starving). Normally, I wouldn’t have looked twice at the place and it’s yet anoher restaurant that I’ve been past over 10 times in the last year. If only I’d known, I would’ve come here instead of Hare and Tortoise… After the complimentary poppadoms(with raita, mango chutney, and a spicy tomato sauce), I had the ginger chicken and a paratha. I was really impressed by the flavours — potent black pepper, coriander, ginger, a hint of chilli. Yum. The paratha was big and avoided the trap of being too greasy. There’s not really much else to say about this, other than the fact that I was very impressed. The service is great too, and the restaurant doesn’t cut corners in terms of crockery etc. Yes, I came in with few expectations, but after having been to Tayyabs and Ganapti recently, this place still held its own. Although Olympia’s a bit tricky to get to, it’s well worth the trip, especially as you can get a decent amount of food for under a tenner. And once again, I find myself writing Unilocal reviews mid-afternoon and starting to salivate a little. Dammit.

Now, this is really something. I won’t bother to tell you why I ended up at this inconspicuous little Indian Restaurant just over the railway bridge from Kensington, on the Olympia side. I will tell you I wasn’t expecting too much. In fact I’m used to being very disappointed with Indian restaurants in London. But this place was terrific. Probably the best Indian food I’ve ever had. The staff were welcoming and put us at ease. We shared a chicken dish and a vegetarian dish and one generous portion of tasty rice. Everything was divine and tasty and fresh, including the crisp, golden popadoms which came from a little oven of their own. Even the glasses of tap water were served icey cold in long stemmed glasses. We had wondered if the two dishes would be enough, but the food was rich, in the nicest possible way and the portions generous, served in beautiful ornate bowls. This was a real find, though as you can see I have no intention of keeping it a secret. Go there and try it yourself. Oh and the bill came to £14 for two. Superb!

Miran Masala is the place to go for great Pakistani food, reasonably priced. My wife and her brother and I came here for dinner in May and enjoyed a delicious meal — My brother-in-law and I got the chicken kabuli( ), which was fantastic. My wife got the butter chicken, which was also good. With some tasty naan to accompany our meal, we left full and happy. Service was good — the staff knew the menu well, and the owner even came out to check on us during our meal. Note: since it is Pakistani, they don’t serve alcohol, but they do allow you to bring your own wine, as witnessed by the group at the large table near us. If you’re out in West Kensington, give this place a try!

I used to live around the corner from Miran Masala, and the quality of the food at this restaurant is so remarkable that I’ve found myself heading back with a craving for some of their dishes, even though I now live a good hour’s Tube journey away. Miran Masala definitely fits into the ‘authentic’ category of Indian restaurants, and this is obvious from the mostly Indian clientele — definitely not your average beer ‘n’ bhuna curry house. This authenticity results in some unusual and really interesting dishes including a lot of meat-free curries made with more than just the usual vegetable selection and in some cases with Quorn. They also serve possibly one of the most delicious and unhealthy Indian snacks I’ve ever tried: a ‘paneer bhajee’ made from deep fried cheese. Definitely one to try for the serious curry lover, and a must-visit for all locals.

This small chain had brought its magic to Kensington(Olympia). Went back with some friends last Sunday, to discover that the franchise had been lost. The food was still very good. The perfectly-spiced grilled lamb chops, the lamb tikka and seekh kebabs were great but the saag ghosht(spinach curry with boneless lamb) and daal were not the same. I am sure they’ll work things out. I really hope so.
