I went in for a sub, and was informed by the rather annoyed young woman behind the counter that they were out of lettuce for the day, as though this was a rare ingredient subject to availability. It was 13:00.
It did answer my question of why none of the people queuing out the door at the Subway around the corner had gone here instead, though.
