Jeezy Creezy this is some fantastic barbeque. I do love me some barbeque. And one problem about moving to London from the US is finding those places that remind you of home. I’ve tried several BBQ restaurants, and while they ranged from average to good, nothing really filled that BBQ hole that I have. Enter Miss P’s. I tried Miss P’s for the first time at Kerb Saturdays. Yes, Miss P is a Kerb trader, so you know where to find them. I was out with fellow Unilocaler Nava, and she was aching to try one of the beef ribs that looked great on the website. So try it we did. And it was delicious. The rib fell off the bone. It has been smoked perfectly and the barbeque flavor came through like a dream. And the spicy BBQ sauce was spicy and delicious. The dishes come with homemade coleslaw. It’s not the best coleslaw I’ve had, but it’s tasty, and really, you’re mostly here for the meat anyway. I also had them during the week at Kerb. Sometimes we can slip away and head down to King’s Cross. This time I opted for the combo plate of pulled pork and ox cheek. The pulled pork is tender and succulent, but the star is the ox cheek. The smokey and spicy flavors go so well against the fattiness and beefiness of the cheek, and the cheek just falls apart. It’s like beef heaven on a fork. You can opt to get it naked or on a bun. I went naked, but my co-worker went for the ox cheek sandwich. His exact words, «This is the best meat I’ve ever eaten.»(Insert rude joke here.) Seriously. If you’re a fan of Southern barbeque, you need to find Miss P’s and put her meat in your mouth. You won’t regret it.

Nice! Now that Grant went through the trouble of creating the entry for Miss P’s, I can write a review. Go. Go out into the street right now. Find Miss P’s. Eat it. Bliss out. I had Miss P’s a few weeks ago at Kerb, and I haven’t stopped thinking about it. I immediately found them on facebook, liked their page, and told them how much I was in love with their food. And they immediately responded saying that they’re glad they’re accomplishing their mission of bring proper Atlanta style BBQ to the London masses. I had a single bad boy beef rib. Let me tell you, that when they served it up, the guy basically cut two ribs’ worth of meat but just provided one bone and served it up as a «single.» And the bone part barely made it to the plate because as he lifted the meat off the cutting board, the bone fell right down to the table. Perfect smoky flavor with that hint of southern BBQ sweetness. Paired that with their spicy BBQ sauce which has an absolutely perfect amount of kick. So tender. So delicious. It’s absolutely perfect. I’m not going to lie… Miss P’s beef rib kicks a lot of the butts of some of the best BBQ I’ve had back home in Texas, so in London… it’s shooting star stellar.
