Great place! Perfect for a cold night, warm up with some hot and delicious food. You basically get a big bowl of broth that you add your own meat and veg to.

Disappointed with the variety of offerings available as well as the quality of the food which wasn’t much. The restaurant appeared dirty and a bit far from central london. The only perks of this place is that its cheap and its a buffet. I was hoping for something along the lines of korean spare ribs, spicy korean pork, but no, the meat wasn’t marinated and cleanliness wasn’t the place’s first priority. While the lady working there was kind enough, we constantly had to walk up to her to ask for water and rice. Have tasted better

Short on flavor, too barebones. Wouldn’t go out my way to eat here. Ever again.

An awful offal dinner A dinner with my friends to celebrate the New Year at this restaurant had turned out to become a nightmare. We were literally being shouted at and intimidated by a series of harassments from the restaurant’s owners while all we had done was taking the time to enjoy a meal. Being a Chinese who had been craving for some hot pot and grilled food in this wintry weather, I searched online and found this highly rated Mongolian Grill Hot Pot Restaurant in Clapham that was also recommended by London Timeout. When the gas inside the hot pot’s camping stove ran out, we asked the waitress to provide a new bottle of gas. However, she refused and asked to leave the restaurant in 3 minutes time because we had reached our ‘time limit’ and there were customers waiting for a table. This was the very first time we were told there was a time limit they didn’t tell me when I booked the table, they didn’t tell us when we were being seated, this isn’t on their website, not on their menu nor any signage inside the restaurant. Therefore, we refused to leave based on the fact that we had NEVER been informed and we hadn’t finished our dinner yet. After the waitress left the table, an unfriendly big woman approached and shouted at us asking us to leave immediately because ‘time’s up’! We reinstated the reason why we’re entitled to stay because they had failed to inform us in advance, so we hadn’t yet finished our dinner. Followed by a threatening big guy came to our table shouting that because they’re cheap we should have expected the ‘time limit’ rule. and this nasty drama carried on for a while. We are a bunch of principled people who won’t be threatened by this psychological violence; so we just calmly stayed till we finished the dinner, paid the bill and left. However, the big guy once again threateningly approached and followed us when we were leaving the restaurant to SHOUT ‘PLEASEDON’T COMEBACK!’ I can only say his final words are a sound piece of advice for those who don’t want to have a disastrous night-out and being threatened. Food is really average generally salty, wide range of internal organs(offal) and meats are paper-thin; inconvenient location and horrendous services

I’d read a rave review in Time Out but after going last night I’m not convinced. The place is NOT good for vegetarians: every stock is made with bones, the tofu ran out and when I asked what was in the dumplings one of the members of staff didn’t know. The ‘medium’ spicy stock was so hot it was inedible and we had to ask three times for water. One of the members of staff, the ‘front lady’ I guess you’d call her, was brilliant, friendly and super at explaining how the buffet and dipping station worked, but one of the other waitresses was downright rude. And the toilets are horrible they reek of damp. It’s fine for a novelty trip but I won’t be going back.

My first time in a Mongolian Restaurant but will definitely be back. Slightly off the beaten track down past Clapham Old Town but still only 5 mins walk from the tube and some really nice pubs nearby for a post dinner drink. Pretty cheap and excellent quality for what is basically all you can eat. As described below, each table is fitted with either a hot pot or a mini bbq(your choice) After selecting your food(meat, fish, seafood, veg, noodles etc.) from the buffet area you cook your own food at your table and then finish it off with your own custom made dipping sauce. You’re then free to go back and fill up your plate for more cooking as many times as you want. We went for the hotpot option on the advice of the waiter who was really friendly and explained exactly what to do. Definitely a place to go for a bit of a different experience. Pricing was very reasonable I thought. We spent £30 for two including drinks. They charge a couple pounds more for the Hotpot/BBQ on weekends. Standard menu options available if you don’t fancy cooking your own.

An amazing place to eat and drink with good friends. You could spend hours laughing and eating until you fall to the floor with cramps. And that we nearly did) A great choice of ingredients for the hotpot or BBQ, all fresh stuff and really tasty. Good for meat lovers and vegetarians alike. The price is unbelievable — £9.50 for ridiculously worthy delights. The staff are also super nice and I would not hesitate to return. GO! Right now. If you aren’t hungry now you will be when you walk in the door.

very good, can either have hot pot or barbeque, so nice to have that option. can’t complain about the food as you cook it yourself, but have a wide selection of meat & veg to choose from. only bad thing was that it’s abit pricey(when i went) and the place is abit small. but its close to where I live and I think they have lowered their price, so its all good. definitely happy to go back there again.

Still 5 stars for the food and concept — but now they’ve changed their prices and no longer take TasteLondon cards. It’s not the convenient and cheap dinner it once was. Still delicious though.
