I nice little watering hole in an area quite dense with office buildings. They have a couple of TV’s tuned into the current sporting event, a fruit machine or two and a couple of tables. And a full selection of libations. Two«picnic» tables outside let the smokers enjoy their alcohol with a smoke. Or like tonight, when there were no smokers, I could sit there and watch the traffic go by while slowly torturing my liver with a cold pint.

Fairly standard boozer in a very convenient location right between Goodge Street and Warren Street tube stations. It’s not flashy, they don’t have the greatest selection of drinks available, and during the day time it’s full of construction workers and the odd drunk will reside on a bench outside. The ace in its sleeve is that they have a Thai kitchen in the back and manage to knock out some pretty good dishes for very reasonable prices! There are a few big screens for watching live sport, highlighting the fact that this is quite a man-friendly establishment. Good for a quick pint, or some spice on a budget without the slightest hint or pretentiousness or class: D

Nice looking pub. During the week the music tends to be overbearingly loud, so beware if you’re out for chat and don’t want to lose your voice for the next day. Drinks are pricey, and though they seem to serve Thai food… I’ve never seen anyone eating there.

Definitely not a destination spot, but a decent centrally located pub to watch football matches. They do get some creepy locals in here ordering cocktail after cocktail on a Wednesday night at 6pm but I’m not sure if that’s too different from any other local and quasi-local pubs around here. One big screen in the front and 2 in the back room — plenty of space and tables to have a pint and root against Chelsea. The Thai food they serve here is basic but cheap and decent — at least the appetizers(basic spring rolls, chicken sticks, noodle salad) are tasty to snack on and accompany a pint or two.

Decent enough pub on Tottenham court road. Seems quite a quiet place to watch the football on the weekend, although I was a bit choked at 3 pounds for a pint of IPA, considering you can get 3 for that at ‘spoons at the moment(if they haven’t run out that is). Obviously though in this part of London that price is the norm. Their signing may need updating as there were pointers to a food room(but no evidence that any was served) and a smoking room(ha ha I think you mean the pavement :)). I can see myself stopping by again though, I liked the look of the place(but not the look of the MC Escheresque hairstyle of one of the bar staff :)).

This place is fine if you need a quick pit stop before heading on to other places. A perfect hide out for locals, but I felt that because I wasn’t known to the pub perhaps my service was somewhat over seen. The Bar lady could have spent a little more time at the front of the bar, rather than chatting at the back or regular customers. However I cam here to watch some sky sports on their plasma screen, and had an entertaining time. It isn’t as crowded as other pubs, so you can rely on grabbing a seat and watching the screen without having to shout over someone’s head!
