Not sure why, but there are 6 or 7 Korean restaurants along St. Giles Street, and BTW, this is a really short street. Finding it hard to pick which one to go to, I decided on the one at the beginning of the street from Oxford Street, and it was Mudo. The restaurant is small, like all other restaurants on this street, I had to move the table to sit down as my chair was backed up right against the person from another table. The food was good. I liked the kimchi pancake and Japchae(Stir-fried clear noodle), both are classic Korean dishes. I had a beef soup dish and it was decent as well. Their specialty seems to be beef and noodle stew. Basically, a huge pot atop a propane stove is brought to your table and you cook a one pot meal of beef, tofu, vegetable and instant noodle on the table. Looks interesting, but at the same time, I feel that I can easily make it at home. I probably will try some other restaurants on the same street before I come back here again.
