Ok I have read other people’s reviews on both Unilocal and the site who’s name shall not be mentioned on Unilocal,G got over that little hump I have to say from the time I found my deal online to the time we arrived at the hotel the staff have been nothing but helpful. So those people who did not find them helpful, I understand this can happen but I could not fault them. They even brought me an iron and ironing board to my room upon request! The hotel is not the biggest, I know some people were disappointed with the size of their room, I have to say that I had not one but two flat screen tv’s a two/three person sofa in a lounge area. I don’t know if all the rooms are like this but if they are not I’d suggest you try and book the 210 suite . We didn’t eat at the hotel but it has two resturant/eating establishments inside it. It is very conveniently located if you want to access the V&A, the Science Museum, the Natural History Museum. From what I saw it is very popular with tourists as in the sort time we were there and passing through reception there was always someone check in on and out so can’t be all bad! We arrived early way before checking just to leave out bag there but to our surprise the room was ready! Cannot say that I have had theta happen at any of the bigger chained hotels I have stayed at! There were one or two minor cosmetics which they could address but all in all I Myhotel Chelsea worked well for us.

Very clean, quiet hotel located in a wonderful area. Staff is friendly and helpful. South Kensington station is within walking distance with trains to Victoria station, London Heathrow and many sites. Our room was very small, neat and clean. Fridge in room stocked with drinks and snacks on desk. Fixed price menu for snack and drinks on desk. Free use of gym just down the road. Meals are high priced, we arrived after midnight and ordered one ham and cheese sandwich for £7. If not for our late arrival we would have eaten out. Starbucks, Pret A Manger and other eateries are within walking distance. A small Sainsbury’s local is just down the street where you can pick up snacks and drinks. Lovely quaint hotel.

Sehr gute Lage.

Superb place for some quiet time, with different seating arrangements, either a comfy sofa next to a fireplace for a coffee, or some more smart seating for a meal. It can be a bit pricey for the typical casual meal, however you get 50% off food with tastelondon without booking and every day of the week. It is a great deal. Now, the thing that really stands out of this place, apart from the homey feel to it, is its service. It is delightful and really rare these days too. It can be quite tricky to park in the area, except on Sundays. So might be better to walk it if you can.

Gerry and I stayed here on Friday 25 April, as part of her birthday celebrations. The hotel is an interesting mix — they’ve got it almost right, but we found there were a few less-than-positive notes which were surprising, though they didn’t spoil the overall experience. The room was smaller than we expected, but nicely finished in a dark red. The fixtures and fittings were all of a high quality, but with the small size of the room it was a little cluttered. Aveda shampoos and the like were a lovely quality touch. Unfortunately, the bed wasn’t particularly comfortable — having spent the previous night in the Marriott County Hall, we both found the bed far too hard, and neither of us slept particularly well. Additionally, the bath-plug didn’t work properly and got stuck, almost causing a flooded bathroom. And while most of the fixtures were of lovely quality, it was surprising that the room kettle was actually an aging, dirt-cheap Travelodge type plastic thing, which really didn’t go with the overall ambience. Oh, and there was no bottle-opener in the minibar. On arrival, the room itself was far too hot, but the air-conditioning made short work of that. The room itself was pretty quiet, especially considering it was on the ground floor, right on Ixworth Place. We were staying on the ‘myromance’ package, which included a bottle of Laurent Perrier champagne, chocolates, massage oil and an ostrich feather. I suppose the ostrich feather is merely an erotic touch — it would have been kinky if it were the whole ostrich! We eschewed the Continental breakfast on the Saturday morning, choosing instead to have a full English, which was excellent. That said, for £18 it needed to be good! One small thing that I found intensely irritating was the addition of a ‘Gratuity’ onto everything in the hotel. Simply buying a Scotch in the bar had £1 added onto the already steep cost — and this was done automatically. The drink itself was also expensive — a Scotch and Coke at myhotel Chelsea actually cost almost as much(£8 including service) as a Vodka Martini at the Marriott! That’s not right, guys — sort it out. There was a slight cock-up on the bill on checkout — the bar had actually added the bottle of champagne as an additional cost(plus a further £6 ‘Gratuity’ for it), when it was supposedly included in the room rate. However, the Reception staff were quick to resolve that for me. While it was well-placed for the Kings Road(and there’s also a fantastic Argentinian restaurant called Gaucho close by, more on that later), at £239 I can’t really say it was particularly good value — the much larger, and more impressively equipped Marriott room was only £10 more for the night. Overall, this is a lovely little boutique hotel, and one of those quirky places that sounds great and looks fantastic until you really get up-close and examine it in depth. There’s nothing really wrong with it — it just doesn’t quite live up to its own hype.

This is a fantastic place for afternoon tea. A delicious array of cakes and scones to rival the Ritz, all washed down with unlimited types of tea. I took my parents there and they loved it. The décor is stunning, contemporary but comfortable. The atmosphere is very serene — apparently it’s been designed around the principles of Feng Shui.
