Nandos

Una de muestras últimas noches en Londres decidimos cenar en este restaurante, por el cual pasábamos todas las noches de vuelta al hotel. Desde fuera tenía buena pinta, tanto las ofertas, como el interior y sus camareros.
Calefacción a tope, hasta el punto de comer en mangas cortas, cuando la gente de la calle caminaba tapada hasta las orejas. Nos sentamos a una mesa de dos, casi pegada a otra pareja, y vimos la carta. Tenían de todo aunque lo principal era el pollo. De muchas formas, sobretodo a la plancha y brasa; y podías elegir el nivel de picante de las especias o salsa que llevara.
Las bebidas eran refill, que es de agradecer, ya que pedí un nivel bajo de picante y aún siendo bajo, rellené mi refresco tres veces…
Nos atendió una camarera italiana, y entre su español y nuestro inglés pudimos pedir dos platos de pollo muy sabrosos y buenos, y un entrante pasable.
Es una opción para cenar por Earl’s Court Road pero se pueden barajar más opciones.

I can’t believe this is a fast food place. The chicken is one of the best I’ve had. I ordered the ¼ chicken which comes with your choice of 2 sides. I got the spicy rice (not spicy) and the side salad. I also ordered a beer and my total was about 12 pounds.
Note to Nando’s: Please open a Nando’s in the States. Specifically NYC.

Pretty tasty relatively cheap (not as cheap as Chipotle or other chicken places in USA) eats. esp. in London! Not quite as good as El Pollo Loco but they make everything fresh! Spicy is not very spicy.
Still worth a try.

Absolutely great service for a quick in and out trip! Love the Mediterranean salad …

When I was in London a few weeks ago, I ate here twice. The first time I went with friends the server asked if we had been there before and when we replied no, he sat us at a table and left. It wasn’t until 20 minutes later waiting for him to come back that another server came over to us — mostly likely because we looked confused as to why we hadn’t been served yet — and explained that you order at the counter. That aside, the food is amazing. I had the mango and lime wings with peri-​salted chips and a salad. It was surprisingly filling but rather expensive in my opinion once you convert the 8.99 to American dollars. I’d definitely come back on my next trip though!

I ate here twice in my 4day trip to London in May… the food is really really good… my best Nandos… prefer to the African counterpart… the staff are attentive and friendly without being in your face!
My favorites are the chicken tighs and sweet potatoes… you can’t get them this good anywhere else… the garlic bread and corn tho… yum yum yum…
If you love mango then you should try the Mango quencher and mango froyo… awesome!
Great job Alfredo, Kasia, Cute guy at the till and everyone here… I felt so comfortable even though I was eating alone.
Come with an appetite or a friend with a large one…

The prices are steeper than what we’re used to in the states, but the chicken is good. Nice and spicy, and there are sauces at the dishware/​condiment station if you’re into something hotter than you ordered. The chips were also good but the coleslaw was not. The ambiance is… corny at best. Wish I just got chicken and chips to go.

I’m really struggling to understand why anyone likes this place. During a conference, I was stuck eating out only own and I really just wanted take away to be able to unwind at the hotel while still receiving some nourishment. In the past, I have heard people rave about Nandos, so I have it a try. I got the butterfly chicken with mild sauce, the halloumi cheese and a salad. What a disappointment? The flavor profile just isn’t there. The chicken was entirely bland. The halloumi cheese was fine, but only because halloumi is the only ingredient. Go to Pret or some other place…

London is so bloody expensive. I’ve been waiting since 2004 for prices to drop, the dollar to catch up to the pound, something! But surprise, surprise, nothing has happened and nothing will any time soon.
In 2004, tight on cash, a friend introduced me to this chain. It was my first introduction into food in the UK that had great flavor. From then on, I learned a valuable lesson: If you like a blast of flavor in your food, find the ethnic food in the city. Nando’s, a Portuguese chicken joint, fits the bill! I get the pita, like it spicy, and get the chips as well. The mango drink is nice if it’s a rare warm day as well!

Complete rip off! We are used to Nando’s in Australia which is far cheaper and much nicer. My wrap was completely filled out with lettuce with a small amount if chicken. The chips were cold and seemed as though they’d sat around for hours then shoved on our plate.
It cost us nearly AU$ 50 for 2 meals that wouldn’t cost more that $ 24 at home.
Ripped off and the food was very average — not value for money!

Das Essen bei Nando’s ist wirkllich nicht schlecht: Es gibt viertel, halbe und ganze Hähnchen sowie Chicken Wings und ähnliches mit zahlreichen Beilagen wie Salaten, Pommes, Mais etc.
Man kann die Gerichte entweder einzeln oder als Kombination wählen, dann bekommt man zwei Beilagen nach Wahl dazu. Jedes Gericht kann in verschiedenen Schärfe-​Geraden gewählt werden, wobei ich persönlich «medium» schon als sehr scharf empfand. Besonders positiv sind mir die Salate aufgefallen, die aus frischen Zutaten bestehen und reichhaltig zubereitet werden.
Es gibt eine Mischung aus Selbstbedienung und Bedienung am Tisch; die Bestellung muss an der Theke aufgegeben werden, das Essen wird dann aber an den Tisch gebracht und alle weiteren Bestellungen können direkt am Tisch aufgegeben werden. An das System in diesen Nando’s Restaurants muss man sich erst einmal gewöhnen, ist aber an und für sich kein großer Umstand. :)
Einen Stern muss ich leider abziehen, da ich bei meinen drei Besuchen zwei Mal nicht das bestellen konnte, was ich ausgewählt hatte, weil es nicht mehr vorrätig war. Die Alternativen schmeckten zwar auch, aber wenn man die Gerichte schon anbietet, sollten sie auch ganztägig verfügbar sein.

Nando’s-well, if you have been to London a few times than there is no way around Nando’s. Brilliant chicken, drink as much as you want, cheap, fun place… no reason not to go!

Visited earls court in late may. Saw this place. It’s was soo good. I will visit their location in Washington D.C. Now! I can’t wait! Spicy is best!
