Wonderful Indian place food is good and the staff are always in the mood of recommending some dishes. My wife and I had a lovely dinner here and we are definitely coming back when the fire in our stomachs from all the spicy ingredients calms down.

A family run Indian restaurant that provides its locals with a taste of the real India. This restaurant is situated in a busy location but as soon as you step in, you feel like you have suddenly time travelled to India. Beautifully furnished, modern and exceedingly clean, the staff make you very welcome. The atmosphere is relaxed, you are made to feel like royalty and the modern Bhangra background music is very subtle. They also provide a great quick home delivery service within a one mile radius. The prices are reasonable and the menu is varied. It is wise to book in advance as this venue gets quite busy with social functions. Thumbs up from me! :-)

Excellent food and good value. It’s a big restaurant so can lack atmosphere if there aren’t many other diners, but would definitely recommend

In my opinion this is the best Indian in the Camberwell area. When I lived in Clapham for a bit I used to order delivery from here I missed it that much. Perhaps I’m biased, I lived on the same road as it when it opened, the waiters got to know our names, and I have great memories of meals with friends spent here. But aside from the personal involvement, The New Darwinium is a winner in terms of food too. I’ve never found as good a bhindi bhaji as this one and the range of the menu is brilliant — lots of low-fat options too. It looks like a take-away from the front but the bigger-than-expected restaurant is tucked away out back, and accessible from the side road. The location is a little inconvenient — half way between Oval and Camberwell Green — but there’s always the option of a take-away.

This is an excellent Indian takeaway, although I’ve not eaten in yet. The food always arrives piping hot within 40 minutes, and they do an excellent butter chicken and a really nice stew-like jalfrezi. The Dewaniam offers a great low-calorie curry menu as well, not just one meal, but a range, so you can indulge in guilt free curry! Delivery is free over £10, and it’s quite reasonably priced. You can get some cheap offers on set meals, and they also offer lunchtime boxes. The onion bhajis are huge, and the peshwari naan is particularly delicious. Tiger beer is also available from this takeaway.
