Seems to be just an overpriced patisserie. In excess of 5 quid for a toasted ham and cheese panini which was jazzed up with some salad on the side whuch I didnt ask for. It looked and tasted good but I thought it was a bit pretentious.

I first went to Nice Croissant in 1995, two years before the current owner took over. The atmosphere within is always friendly and welcoming. The staff are all capable and efficient. I have tried all of the beverages, and I can state categorically that I have not tasted better anywhere. The snacks, albeit filled baguettes, rolls or sandwiches are freshly made and tasty. There are heated snacks as well, croque messieurs, filled croissants etc. The meals are exceptional in content and presentation and the menu changes regularly. There is something for everybody. All of the food(bread, rolls, croissants, pastries and gateaux) is made on the premises. Furthermore cakes can be made at relatively short notice for special occasions. Treat yourself, you will not regret it.

I have visited this Wanstead local café for a number of years and they have managed to maintain a friendly and relaxed atmosphere as well as providing some of the best croissant around. Everything is baked on site and having spoken to the owner, they bring all their raw materials from France. I have been ordering birthday cakes from them for about 3 years now and they are never disappointing. Not your typical english sponge, but a real French cake so typical of what I have seen in France when I am there. Added a little to this at Christmas this year and treated everyone to the petits fours and hand dipped chocolate strawberries. well there were smiles all round. I can see why there is a queue every Sunday morning. NOONEELSEBAKESFRESHONSUNDAY
