I can’t believe this has taken me so long but I’m finally giving Nilima the rating it deserves. Too long has Nilima been left in proverbial squalor with it’s 4 stars — it time to wear those five stars with pride.
Since moving away from the Southfields area my Nilima jaunts have been non-​existent but by chance I’ve had an opportunity to rectify that. Since moving (and before) I have tried Indian restaurants all over and Nilima has always stood out for me.
Having eaten here (or taken-​away) more times than I remember, I’ve never had a bad meal, at worst — nice. The portions are quite generous and the costs are on the good side of average. The food itself has my full adoration.
I’ve missed this place.
Several months ago, two other Indian restaurants have opened up almost next door but I hardly ever see anyone in them. They may be very good but Nilima still has customers while the other two struggle. The locals know what they like.
