This place just has the best noodle soup. Despite the non descript appearance at the seedy end of Oxford St right next to the mega dig operation for Cross rail, don’t be put off. I order the wonton noodle soup. The noodles are made by hand and you can see them being made every so often in the window. You know, the kind where the guy just waves his arms up and down with a wad of soft white dough and goes back and forth a few times and before you know it, he’s spun a few thousand fine strands and makes it look so easy. As a result the noodles have a pleasingly uneven thicknesses and a perfect, fresh, wheaty taste and texture. The stock was just perfect. Excellent flavour and depth. The pork and vegetable soup wontons were also excellent. On another visit I ordered the pork char siu soup noodle. Now I can’t decide which is better, the wonton or char siu noodle! The pork was melt in the mouth tender, juicy and tasty — just how you imagine it could be. The combination of char siu pork, wheat flour noodles and soup worked perfectly together. Typical China town style no– nonsense service but that’s fine with me. Just take my order quickly, bring me the food and then be ready to take my money when I am done. This is a canteen, not a formal restaurant. Tip: Make sure you order the hand made noodle dishes. They had some special offer on once which used standard dried noodles — not the same at all. Can’t comment on the other dishes since I just go back to the soup noodle — clearly addicted…

Went there twice and it’s basic and very good Chinese food. Special is soup w/hand made noodles. Not too expensive and the service is fast and friendly. Worth to make a short stop while shopping at Oxford Street.

Noodle oodle on Oxford Street is one of the famous Chinese noodle bar in London. Unpretentious and great tasting, that’s how we could qualify this restaurant. Specialised in noodle of course like the name clearly tells, but you can also eat some great duck and dumplings. For those hungry of some tasty Chinese food it’s the place to be. What’s not to be missed: for those who are not afraid of spice(I mean real spice here not euro spice, real Chinese spice!) the lamien beef noodle will blow you away! For those who can’t stand spicy, you can try the Dry Beef With the Big noodles served with a bowl of soup on the side. Money, money, money: Count around £6.50 for a large bowl of noodle. If you want some hot/cold soy milk with it add £2.50 That little something: the small open kitchen concept where you can see the chief making the noodles from his bare hands. What needs to be work on: the food is good, the service too. Maybe if the room was a bit more decorated it would give a nice touch to the place. Like I said in the beginning it is an unpretentious place so there are just some tables and chairs in the room. Not talking about some fancy decoration here but maybe something that can warm up the room.

Exceptional noodles, and very fast service! We ordered the Za Jian Mian(bean paste noodle) and the won ton noodle soup. While the former was slightly better, both were very good because of the hand-made noodles. Only one con — this is a little place in proportion to the number of people that want to eat here. So, if you and your significant other are expecting a romantic restaurant, this isn’t the place.(We were sat at the same table as another couple.) Otherwise, a great choice!

We almost didn’t go into Noodle Oodle, but the Unilocal reviews pulled us in. So glad we stopped here for a late night dinner, just a few doors from the Tottenham Court tube station. I’ve never had hand pulled thick noodles before, so I am not an expert. That said, these noodles and the soups they were in were really, really good! I liked the shanghai dumplings, but they weren’t quite as good as I’ve had in Asia — what can you expect? Might not be a great place for a vegetarian, though — the veg dumplings were uninspiring, and it’s unclear there were real veg options in the soups. They were really so nice to us! We were the next-to-last customers of the evening, and they were closing up, but we didn’t feel rushed. They also fussed over my kid, giving her a small bowl to share my noodles, and smiling as she inhaled noodles and dumplings.

Tasted pretty authentic to me as I just visited Shanghai last month. The dumplings were tasty and perfectly juicy. Not the Shanghai dumplings but all the other varieties. The Shanghai dumplings were oddly small in portion control and they weren’t as great as the other counterparts. The noodle dishes here is where the fresh ingredients really shine. From the delicious beef noodle soup to the perfectly balanced spicy noodle soup, I was in food coma heaven. The signs on the wall make the diner a bit a weary about pickpockets but the food takes your mind away. Thinking back to the noodle soup and the treat that is Noodle Oodle, I think I will need to order noodles for lunch, asap.
