Every time I’ve been here, there has always been a fab babd playing! This places gets packed out quickly, so if you want a table, best book in advance! The bar staff are fantastic, when it gets busy, they’ll come around and take orders, saves you fighting through to the bar(can pay cash or card, they bring everything to you) the cocktails are delicious! Perfect for a fun night out with friends, or somewhere to impress on the first date

Great place with amazing vibe, such a shame they close at 1am ;-) it is a good place to start with live band playing covers(and they are damn good at it).

Vinyl everywhere. Amazing music ranging from The Who, to the Doors to Macklemore to Snoop Dogg, its awesome. I’ve been here a couple times and always find myself and others singing to the music and the drinks are equally well made. A friend expressed that its a bit pricy for a cocktail at 8£ but they were tasty, and the ambiance is rad so you be the judge. But for a local Northcote spot its pretty fun and highly recommended if you’re around Clapham Junction. The staff are also really nice and accomodating to drink orders even when its busy not that i suggest asking for something crazy when they’re in the weeds, but just thought I should mention it. The Bouncers are even nice!!!

I love this bar, even if it has a bit of an identity problem. Is it a rock and roll dive bar? Is it an upscale cocktail bar? A place to hang out? A place to take dates? All of the above? Yes. Northcote Records is like the record shop that doesn’t really exist any more. Except instead of records, they serve drinks. Also, they have records, tons of them lining the walls, but you can’t buy them. I don’t think. Maybe you can, I’m still not clear on this point. What I am clear on is this bar is great. Dark with neon-lighting, comfortable couches and really friendly staff. They’ve got an excellent mix of drinks ranging from low-price beers to £8.50 cocktails. We tried two of the later. The Strawberry Mule(like a vodka mule with strawberries) was only OK but the Elderflower Fizz was damn perfect. Like St. Germain? This is the one to get. What I truly loved here was the music. Mixing in everything from classic rock to old school hip hop, it was excellent. And at that perfect level where you can enjoy the song but still have a conversation over it. Most bars do not manage this, but tip of the hat Northcote Records. It’s a little too far away from me to be here always, but if I’m in the neighbourhood, I will be back.

This place is new in the area. I popped in for a brief drink last night and it was quite nice. I had a mojito which was made in front of me by the bar staff. It was a school night after all so it was quite quiet but you could see this place was nice. The drinks were good too. There was also live music provided which was different and good to come across in London. I’ll come back during the weekend!

What doesn’t sound great about Northcote records? The shelves are lined with LP’s, the walls plastered with band artwork, live music, a drinks menu as long as my arm… But Northcote Records is a victim of its own success, so popular it gets too busy to move on a Friday night. Seriously, let less people through the door and everyone will have more fun! My advice is book a table or get there early and you’ll have a much better chance of falling in love with Northcote Records.

Recently opened, this place looked pretty fun not to stop into. The bouncer was very friendly and let our large group in without issue. The pub is decorated with cool rock/retro vibe and it was was nice to find an unpretentious place on Northcote. The bar was pretty jammed when we got there, but the staff are very efficient and we were served quite quickly. The drinks are free pour and the drink prices match the amount of booze you are getting. We found a little corner and had a bit of a dance to the fun rock tunes playing. The music was a good volume where we could rock out but still have a conversation without shouting. The toilets were clean and there was TP! Always a super plus in my book. Tom the owner was behind the bar and it was cool to have a chat with him and to see that the he’s really invested in making the place fun. Will defo be back!!!
