Number 90

This is a shithole ! What a bunch of wankers!!! Came in at 9(days it closes at 11, last food orders 10) the chef obviously had a coke come down and wanted to go home! I’ll be so glad to see this place and all the pretensions wankers that come here gone! Soon sooooooon.

Junto al río está este gran espacio ecléctico donde a las cuatro de la tarde un DJ mete tralla a muchos decibelios mientras la gente come nachos, chips de boniato y bebe cócteles, botellas de vino y cervezas como si no hubiera un mañana. Es un lugar muy concurrido donde se reúnen compañeros del trabajo o grupos de amigos que juegan al fútbol los sábados, con barro y equipación incluidos. Yo pedí las frituras de boniato y de patata normal y di buena cuenta de ambas en una mesa corrida junto al río y otros ruidosos comensales. Los baños eran numerosos y algo sucios, cosa que disculpé por la gran cantidad de clientes que allí había. Considerando este último punto, me resultó especialmente grata la rapidez con la que nos sirvieron, y eso que estábamos en la segunda fila de la barra y que pedimos lo que queríamos a berridos (no nos olvidemos del DJ). Tienen un fotomatón digital que no funciona, o que no funcionaba aquella vez.
Al parecer, otros días esto se transforma en un restaurante tranquilo y aseado, pero aseguro que no es lo que vi el sábado, con lo que mi opinión concierne a ese momento concreto.

We turned up and queued for a drink fairly late in the evening. There were two or three groups in front of us queuing and one of them arrived about the same time as us (one was very drunk and one grabbed all the straws and tried to pass them to everyone but otherwise seemed nice enough). The bar was packed and it was meant to close an hour later. While we were waiting the bar looked nice, good music (a bit loud) and great setting.
After serving another group the bar staff stopped and started to clean totally ignoring us. We waited patiently while they continued to ignore us for ¾ minutes and ignored our attempts to politely get their attention. At 11 on the dot they turned around and said the bar was closed and a few minutes later kicked everyone out despite only just serving several groups.
I worked in bars for years and know what they were doing, very lazy and not impressed.

Looks decent for posh cocktails, but at fifteen quid a roast dinner, it’s pushing it… Beer selection is lager, blue moon and bottles…
We did grab a beer and a starter, and it was damn good + unexpected live jazz. Depending how you feel that may or may not be a thing.
