Good cheap fish and chips and fried chicken. Nothing spectacular but great when you need some quick greasy food.

Food portion size is generous and staff are friendly. but frequently the fish is too greasy. Nonetheless it’s great to have a real chip shop nearby!

Feeling a bit under the weather and took the day off from work. Fish and chips is my comfort food so I thought I’d indulge. Haddock was very good — crispy skin and fish was fleshy. Chips were very good. A small downside was that it was a little bit on the oily side(though it didn’t stop me from eating the whole meal in around 10 minutes!).

We go here every Friday, we’re well East End and that — Fish n Chip Friday. You get a really good portion of chips, which I find is often lacking in other establishments. I get cod mostly because it’s cheap and I’m broke but you can get haddock, plaice and scampi which I’d encourage as they’re more sustainable fish. On a Friday there is always a big queue and sometimes you have to wait a little while to get your order. You can get a little bottle of ketchup and fizzy drinks if you want to ruin your teeth. This place was recommended by proper born and bred East End folk so I was always expecting good things. The people who work there are nice and its standard prices, I say go along.
