I never realised I needed a bourbon biscuit on a necklace until I came here! Of Cabbages & Kings is a cute as pie(and cake and biscuiuts) shop that sells jewelry and trinkets for the modern woman… that will be me! Just off Stoke Newington Church Street I worry that this little shop can be forgotten but if you are having a moochy pooch I insist that you pop in. Beautifully designed jewels that inspire you to be a little bit different with your accessorizing. Starting at around £5 and going up you can pick up something pretty and perfect as a gift for a friend and if your feeling indulgent a present for you too. What’s so adorable about this shop is the fact that it’s presented so nicely, cake stands, and sugar bowls spilling out gems. A small but perfectly sized spot!

This shop is beautiful. If I opened a shop, I would probably sell exactly the same sorts of things– handmade ceramics, crafty reworked vintage items for the home, jewellery, accessories and cards. Leather bags, cushions, personalised cufflinks and unusual crockery all make beautiful, if not slightly over-priced gifts. Located in a tiny, shed-like building down a side street off Stoke Newington Church Street, I would most certainly have missed the shop had it not been for the Alice in Wonderland style shop directions at the top of the road. It is a beautiful little place but their opening hours are a little restrictive and I never seem to find it open!

This lovely little gift shop just off Church Street specialises in promoting and selling designers who create hand made and unusual objects. it’s a beautiful, miniature gallery type space; light, bright, white and full of bits and bobs to decorate your home or accessorise your person with. They have interesting crockery, cushions and tea towels that would look right at home in any renovated Stoke Newington kitchen and pretty frilly knickers perfect for all the swingers parties I am certain go on here. The accessories are very cool too, they had some very reasonably priced pieces when I popped in last time, my favourite being the jigsaw map badges. Another thing worth noting is that they are on the look out for new designers, so its a perfect place for the all aspiring arty types in the area to showcase their wares.
