I regularly pass this branch of Office on the fabulous Carnaby Street but it always seems to busy to bother with the hassle. I decided to brave it last Friday armed with my birthday money in the market for some new Converse or Adidas casual trainers and work shoes. Fortunately I came away with some fab Converse trainers after some questionable service. I experienced some dodgy service from the start when it took a while to get anyone’s attention and then the guy that eventually served my passed on the incorrect message for my shoe size so this set me back and the guy serving me was clearly embarrassed. Although the service was fairly slow, it wasn’t THAT busy(and for a shop that is always busy, they should be used to it by now!) Would definitely return, you’re spoilt for choice and they do good sales too. Just ensure you pick the right time!

Finally, I found a shop that sells stuff I like! And with the Office, i can sum it up in one word: Platforms! Yea, the chunky retro heel is what i’m after! And since the 90s have gone, has become very difficult to find in London. I was told this shop is to be very expensive, but I had just come here days after Christmas. Bargains galore! I bought 2 once very expensive platforms for 60 pounds. I can definitely see myself making regular visits to this store, as I believe their styles were made for me! Love it!!!

I came here to get to get the all-white canvas Converse All-Star Hi-Top I’ve never seen sold in the states. A pair I can get as dirty as possible and not care one bit.

Good little shoe store in the centre of Covent Garden, I popped in at the weekend to see if any of the sale stock could beef up my distinctly un-cool collection of footware and bring me into the 21st century without blowing my 20th century bank balance. I was disappointed, to say the least. Maybe I hit the Jan sales too late, but when I got there, a mere 20 pairs of shoed grimaced back at me, none of which I could possibly wear(metallic blue shiny leather slip-ons anyone?), and all of which were still pricey at over £40 each. I peeked at the normal stock but shied away at the cost and the over-attentive staff. What is it with the hard sell in shoe store? Maybe I should just admit that I’m a shoe anarchist and stick to TK Maxx.

Office is a truly brilliant shoe shop and the branch on Neal Street is my favourite, mainly because its my favourite road for shopping — no cars, cobbled streets, endless shoe shops and the nearby Neal’s Yard for a coffee break retreat. The shop has a staple collection of Converse-type shoes, in addition to an ever-changing selection of boots, shoes and any other type of footwear you can imagine. Whilst the shoes are fashionable, the brands and styles included are more original and unique than what you would find in Faith, and aimed at a younger demographic than a shop like Nine West. Brands including Sugar, Firetrap and Rocket Dog: it’s a mish-mash of trendy footwear at varied prices, which means you’ll likely to find something in you can afford. The flats are often a good bargain and come in a huge selection of styles and colours. The sales are also very good.

A small Office shoe shop, with both mens and womens shoes. Often they have sale items, which can be fantastic value. Office itself makes great shoes, with some everyday styles and some more outragous styles. They also stcok a number of brands, such as Rocket Dogs, Uggs and Hunter wellies. Prices are resonable. The styles are often quite youthful and fun.

Just another day at the Office Office shoes are quite inexpensive and they usually are tops when it comes to picking up some fun and sparkly shoes. The quality may not be the greatest, but the prices are usually low enough to make up for it. Try the sale shop on Charing X Road near Leicester Square. They are very very cheap in there!
