I used to be judgemental to Levi’s for a very long time. But then I walked in this particular store about a year ago. They blew my mind. Firstly, the store is beautiful and spacious. Secondly, the service is brilliant — they measure you, bring you all the jeans you just can think of and are happy to consult. The changing rooms have mirrors and lighting making you look so great that you cant help but love it. And thirdly, the jeans — well, my butt never looked better…

Levi jeans always seem to fit me really well, so I find myself returning here time and time again. The sales assistant offered to measure me so that I knew what size and style of jean would fit me which was great. The sales assistant then set off to find the right pair of jeans for me, bringing back an array of jeans to try on. He spent time with me carefully explaining the style, and how to care for my jeans when it came to washing. They also offer a talioring service whereby if the jeans are too long you can get them altered for free. I used this service collecting the jeans at a later time before they closed. All in all a great store with friendly and accomodating staff. I was also offered 20% discount to spend in store or online after completing a survey on their website.

The ‘Original Levi’s Store’ on Regent Street is a huge space dedicated to… denim. Seriously, if you need jeans, and can’t find them here, you probably won’t find them anywhere. Unless you hate Levis of course, in which case you probably wouldn’t enter the store! So I just got back from Los Angeles a couple of weeks ago, where I got some brand-new 501s(yes, they’re back) for a fraction of the price in the U.K. Prices in the Regent Street Store, and the rest of London, are totally excessive, but denim is an investment, so I guess if you love them, buy them. You’ll have them forever.

The original? Maybe. The best? I don’t know about that. But then, denim is such a personal thing and sometimes as dreaded and difficult as buying a new swimsuit — ugh! The Levi’s Store on Regent Street does go some way to alleviating the horror however, being a massive space filled with denim in every wash, cut and style imaginable. Prices, in recent years, have become pretty steep. Or maybe it’s just that I’ve now seen the prices charged for Levi’s in the States and feel a bit short changed. Regardless, if you’re a fan of Levi’s denim this is where you want to go. There is a floor for each womens and menswear, the staff are a bit indifferent but then I don’t want someone peeking around the changing room door when I’m grappling with a pair of skinny jeans.
