Aww, I miss this place. I used to go here pretty much every day to grab a takeaway lunch and take it back to my office across the road. There are tables and chairs in there too if you fancy taking the weight off your feet after a morning walking around the National Gallery, which is right next to this little sandwich shop /​café. The sandwiches are scrummy, and they stuff them to the rafters with filling. Not too good for the old waistline, but certainly fills you up. Their hot food is great too, and all quite reasonably priced given its location.

When you walk in the surly Italian fellow behind the counter can be a little frightening but really, I think he’s a pussy cat. He makes the best sarnies in Soho anyway. Him and his troops (I think his mum and a friend) have a selection of sandwich fillings, rolls, bagels and breads that will make your eyes pop out your head.
They have a few seats in the shop at the back, booth style but they always seem full. You can get risotto, fried eggs and sausages, grilled goats cheese and more. A fantastic place to pick up a lunch time treat if your at work or out on a shopping trip. It’s Carb-​tastic for those «down days».
