NOTE: This is the office address for a mail-​order business, not a coffee shop (as far as I know). Please don’t go there expecting to order a coffee and pull out your laptop, although given how nice the people have been in my limited contact with them, they might let you.
I’ve only had one bag of Pact’s fresh-​roasted mail-​order coffee so far, but the first was so good that I’m eagerly awaiting my second. I got my first bag for £1 via an offer available in various places on the web: a whole-​bean Ethiopian Sidamo recommended for a drip setup, and it was excellent. Fresh, but settled after roasting, so it didn’t have some of the wild off-​flavors that coffee roasted the same day sometimes retains.
I also appreciate Pact’s approach to customer service and operations. I got a phone call a few days after my first bag arrived to check on how I’d liked it, their serial-​entrepreneur founder responded to a review on CoffeeGeek to clarify their sourcing and roasting methods, and they don’t use FairTrade coffee and have good reasons for doing so.
