I stayed at a hotel that was right around the corner and was pleased to find this place. It was really quiet, charming, and the coffee was great. Loved the atmosphere with the nice, comfy furniture. Was definitely what I was looking for and would come back if I was in the area.

Charming little coffee shop in Kings Cross area with lots of vegan options and delicious espresso drinks! My soy latte was excellent. I loved the cozy atmosphere and vintage décor. Very friendly staff. Wifi worked very well. Highly recommended!

Pattern does very, very nice coffee(you are paying for it, though they do a 5-for-£10 deal if you’re regularly in the area), and OK cake in cool-but-not-trying-too-hard surroundings, making it an easy place to recommend. Located a stone’s throw from the other«cool» shops springing up at the bottom of Cally Road, there were only a few other customers in there around lunch on Saturday when I visited. The owner Georgie is very friendly and relaxed, and her trainee barista made some damn near perfect coffees(macchiato and latte), which was my reason for choosing it in the first place. The café itself has been done up well, with interesting touches(such as helpful black markerpen notes pointing to the light switch in the loo) keeping things unpretentious. This place wouldn’t be out of place in, say, Old Street, yet isn’t quite as edgy as some of the Dalston venues springing up — which is no bad thing. Georgie has plans for working with other shops in the area such as for an Easter-egg hunt, and I hope they can pull it off. Having frequented the area since 2008, I’d say Kings Cross will be the better for some more friendly and easygoing places like this.

A nice quiet place to get some work done. This place is a stone’s throw from my house and is totally essential to my weekly productivity. Coffee is a bit expensive but there’s plenty of room to sit and listen to nice music while attempting to get some work done. Baristas are friendly and helpful. Drinks and food are all delicious. hint: the wifi password is written on tags attached to the necks of jugs on all the tables.
