Absolutely love this place. Popped by after a Christmas shopping trip. Music was cranked up and beer was flow, the perfect vibe for this sort of place. I managed to get one of the stool seats in the front part of the restaurant, there was a wait for others who had larger groups. Remember no reservations. I went for the classic pulled pork, not with the bun and got bone marrow mash as a side. As always, tasted great and soon disappeared and surprisingly fills you up. A must if you are in the area and peckish.(Visit — 18/12/2015 Dinner)

THISPLACEISTINY. Like seriously tiny it will make you think you’re eating of a strangers table. However, the food is exceptional. Or should I say more specifically the BBQ is exceptional. It really is great. Like all first visits I usually get far too much for my order. And this was the case on my small table for two. My standouts were the bone marrow mash(yep, bone marrow — winning!), the pulled pork, and a Kernel Table Beer(their best brew in my opinion). Oh and get a pickleback. It’s not to everyone’s liking but it’s classically Pitt Cue from what they say and they seemed to have owned this shot. If this place wasn’t so tiny it would get the full 5 stars as it’s one of those meals you don’t forget.

Really, really good. This place doesn’t take reservations so we were lucky to snag a table for four right after they opened on a Saturday. It’s a pretty small place to expect to be a bit snug, but the food is great. I don’t remember all of the dishes we had but there was a lot of pulled pork, bone marrow mash, and brussel sprouts with bacon. Service is great and prices are reasonable.

Possibly the best place for smoked meat in London. They change the menu frequently making it an adventure each time you go. The down side is they run out of good stuff(like ribs) very soon in the service, so late comers can’t enjoy much choice from the menu. Still worth the queue pittcue — it’s a cathedral for meat lovers!

The pulled pork is great, although by no means any better than the hundreds of other pulled pork offerings across London(and I’m pretty sure I’ve had better in both Hereford and Shropshire), but the real reason to visit is for the phenomenal side dishes! Oh my goodness they are just too good!!! I really wish they would move to a bigger location because I hate to wait — we arrived 15 minutes before dinner service to be sure we could get one of the first tables(and we didn’t… i think we had to wait until 30 minutes into service before we could grab one of the outside tables) — which is putting me off making a special trip to re-visit it.

Nom nom nom. This place is fab! I have heard a lot about it and when I was in the area it made the top of the list of places to go. This place is tiny and it was heaving, even on a rainy Friday in October but the staff were lovely and accommodating and we managed to get a double seat upstairs. It is a bit cosier but they do give you the choice to wait and go downstairs if you would prefer. We had the beef cheeks and pulled pork but although they were lovely I really feel the need to mention the sides. No chips! But the creamed corn with mushrooms and Swiss chard was delicious! So much so I would happily have eaten his share when he wasn’t looking if I thought I could have got away with it! Also, the jalapeño coleslaw was so tasty! We had their standard larger, sadly the name of which escapes me, but it was really good and very smooth. I would happily buy it to drink at my leisure. Overall it could do with being four times bigger but it would be a good stop for hungry meet lovers. If you can get yourself in there then do it!!!

As an American, I was So excited to check this place out to have a taste of home. I went at lunch, around 1:00. We were the ONLY ones there — a bit odd! The place is tiny, I mean really tiny… maybe 20 — 30 tables? And their menu is tiny. As it was lunch, my husband and I split the pulled pork plate, side of marrow mash, and a sausage add on. Unfortunately, it took about 15 minutes for our food to come out, which for a lunch place, is pretty long. But it was well worth the wait! The sausage was the most flavourful sausage I think I’ve EvER tasted. And the marrow mash — well you just have to go try it for yourself. It’s perfection. Pulled pork was super juicy with a delicious bbq sauce. Portions were great for splitting a lunch. Overall, very pleased with the food. Just wish they had a quicker lunch service and maybe promoted it a bit more?

Pitt cue fits the mold of hip soho– take a food that is supposed to be cheap, make it trendy, and up the price. But Pitt cue does it very well. When we arrived we were told there was a 45 minute wait to sit downstairs(wish we knew we could eat upstairs!). We enjoyed a cocktail, I had their take on a Manhattan. While it wasn’t the best take is ever had, it’s always a treat to have a bourbon cocktail in London. When we finally sat down we had to share our table with a couple on a date, but luckily they ate very quickly. My friend and I shared the sourdough drizzle which was excellent, full of meaty flavor– literally sour dough so like undercooked pizza dough with meat drizzlings. Our mains also really stood out– the pulled pork plates were definitely the best barbecue I have had in London. Defiantly unseats boudins. For my side I had the cauliflower type veggies(some complicated hip name I forget) which came with cheese and walnuts. The dish also came with a piece of bread. To drink I had a kernel pale ale, brewed on the bermondsey beer mile. All in all an excellent meal hampered by some long waits

The food here really lives up to the reputation — the pulled pork is DEEELICIOUS. The setting is a little cramped, but it adds to the sociable atmosphere. It’s always very loud inside, so not somewhere to come if you want a proper catch up! The problem I have here is the long wait, usually in a very crowded bar. It has put me off coming back a few times, and I wouldn’t bring any non-Londoners here as I think it might be a bit much.

The queue for a spot in this tiny restaurant is pretty much common place when dining at Pitt Cue. They have a no reservation policy, so be prepared for a wait should you not arrive when doors open. While the food is great, it’s not to everyone’s taste so I would recommend checking out the menu first(and getting your dining pals to do the same) before committing to the queue. Camel ribs and bone marrow mash are not everyone’s cup of tea, however there is always the fail-safe and extremely well done pulled pork for the less adventurous meat eater.

Still a great spot to chill and chew! I was recommended the lamb heart as a special. Great recommendation: a little charred and smoky, and so rare and tender inside. Main event was the marrow mash — what else! — plus smoked ox cheek and celeriac mash. What’s not to like? Fall apart tender cheek, cholesterol level raising mash. The acidity of the celeriac cut through the rich saltiness of the cheek nicely. A pickle back and a couple of pale ales made for a great Sunday lunch. No lining up either!

We’ve eaten at some of the best BBQ places all across the U.S., and none in England until now. This place was better than most of those, but at about twice the price, and minus the gargantuan portions that always resulted in a doggie bag. But if taste is what you are after, then you’ve come to the right place. Fall apart tender meat, delicious sauces and glazes. We just showed up and snagged the last counter seats at the window upstairs. Downstairs was full at 7pm on a Saturday, but no queues outside. It’s tiny downstairs and upstairs. Service was friendly, and she explained all the choices when asked. We got the appetizer caramel beef ribs because of all the reviews, and they lived up to the hype. 3 in a portion, might consider a double as a main meal next time. With it we ordered a main of featherblade which came with one side, and we ordered another side. The coleslaw was good, the bone marrow mash was one of the greatest things I’ve ever eaten. Come willing to spend and I don’t think you’ll be disappointed.

We loved this. We decided upon lunch here on a whim. It was sunny. We were hungry. There was space outside. Decision made! And what a great decision. We ate pulled pork buns with delicious sides of chilli coleslaw and grilled courgettes and ricotta. We drank crisp Cornish cider. Bloody lovely!

Oh wow! Imagine you are at your gran’s house but your gran is one of the best meat chefs in the country. The enamel plates and net curtains are all past of the charm of this fantastic restaurant. It’s tiny, packed to the rafters and incredibly hard to get a seat. Don’t be scared of ordering chewy cheek or fatty jowl. It tastes sublime and you will not be leaving anything behind on your plate. Decent meat, reared in a sustainable old-fashioned way and cooked with alot of love and care, there is so much about this place that is really quite special.

The pulled pork bun was amazing! Different to Bodeans(nearby) but equally impressive. The sides(I forget what we had) were quite Vinegar heavy, but still amazing and fresh. Their strong % Ale was a great accompaniment! I spied the desserts and they looked tasty! Very small seating area, but great if you go along round 2pm for a late lunch(part of the fun, sitting at tables with strangers!).

I’ve been meaning to go to this place for ages, but I don’t often make it to central London, and when I do, there’s normally quite a wait to get a table here(they don’t take reservations). I finally managed to get a table for lunch, and wasn’t disappointed. The slow cooked meat here is the main reason to visit. I had the pulled pork, which was really tasty. I think the highlight though, was the bone marrow mash, which is really rich and topped in gravy. Some of the other sides were great too — the kimchi was excellent, and the slaw was also worth ordering. I really wish they would open another Pitt Cue in east London, and I would be there all the time.

LOVE. Be happy they make you wait for your table, because it means you have THEPERFECT excuse to order the curly pork scratchings and apple sauce. You need to order the pulled pork. You need to order the caramelised ribs. You need to order one of the specials. You need to share the plates with your friends to maximise all the perfect porky tastes! Pitt Cue does not disappoint!

Only been to this place twice but I would easily place this as one of my top 5 favourite places to eat in London. This place is quite executive, pricey and exclusive. We had to turn up at 4:30(an hour before opening) to make sure we got a seat. A queue forms very quickly and it can take a while to get seated as there aren’t many spaces. Started with a Bourbon Treacle cocktail, truly delicious. Infused with maple syrup! This place focuses on slow smoked meat, usually at least 12hours. Super tender and flavourful. The green chilli slaw is mind meltingly delicious. I had the special; shoulder blade. Truly sensational and super delicious. Go here if you can. Without a doubt try the picklebacks. Whiskey shot followed by a shot of pickle juice, sounds grim but tastes amazing!

So that was my 4th on the Esquire’s list of the best places to grab a BBQ pulled pork(and the 1st on their list: ). Long story short: the sandwich there is sooo good. But then there is a wait. A long wait. I ventured there on Saturday night which is probably the worst it can get. The place(both bar area upstairs and the basement) is very claustrophobic. The sitting space downstairs(I was tempted to call it «dining room», but have decided it does not deserve to be called that way) sits literally 18 people only!(yes, I’ve counted) So brace yourself to pick a good timing to grab a spot. You’ve probably already learned from the other reviews that there are no reservations and it’s a walk-in only, all parties need to be present at all time during the wait, etc. And on their website they say it’s the only fair approach. And I believe them. So let’s hope they will get enough money to find some nicer, more accommodating space. Looking at their price list it should be soon. The sandwich is quite overpriced. But we are in Soho, so that might be reasonable as well. What to order? Don’t be original. Get some BBQ pulled pork bun with bone marrow mash. Go for it!

There is no reservation policy which includes all parties have to be present to be added on to waiting list and you can not walk off or you be crossed off the list. Hearing all this you might just want to go elsewhere. But people do wait and one evening one of them was me. We waited 2 hours for a table of three and we were debating throughout whether to go elsewhere. Which we was patient enough not to. The restaurant is small which will be a factor for the queue. The main dining area is downstairs which caters around 16 people. There are some seats upstairs which is the bar area. We started with sharing the caramel ribs which was beautifully cooked that the meat comes off its bone. The sauce also goes well which has a tangy taste. The pulled pork is known for at Pitt Cue and it was just a delight to eat. When some one said to me, that you won’t want Bodean pulled pork after trying Pitt Cue, I can not disagree. But of course in terms of price and quantity then Bodean wins. The main meat dishes such as the pulled pork comes with one side of your choice. I choice the bone marrow mash which was a nice creamy mash. But it got a bit too sickening with the lard taste which I suspected came from the bone marrow. The dishes are not large at Pitt Cue and dining here is not cheap. Out of the dishes we called I thought the pulled pork was the best, which looked like a complete meal that is served in a rustic tray. The quality of the food is good. Although some dishes can be too fatty and would not be for every ones palette. Would I queue for two hours again? Probably not but may be if there were a better queueing system or just by coincident it was a time and day when it was not that busy.
