They do excellent slices of pizza here and actually heat it up unlike some other pizza by the slice places. It can get quite expensive, but there are some lunch menu deals to take advantage of as well as a loyalty card. I believe when you order 9 number of items you get your next item free. This free item can be anything at all from what I understand. What’s great is that if you order two pizzas, this will count as two items, as long as you haven’t benefited from a deal, you’ll get a stamp for each item. Staff could be more forward about the lunch deals as I realised that I could have got a free bottle of drink with what I ordered if I have checked the board before ordering. I’d visit again.

Small little pizza place where you can order square pieces for about 2.50 pounds each. Quick service.

Cons: I don’t understand what all of the fuss is about… I found the pizza a bit bland and uninspired. Two of the pizza slices I had chose didn’t even have any sauce on them(only cheese and another topping) and the potato truffle pizza only smelled a bit of truffle, it had no actual truffle taste, unlike other truffle pizzas I have tried. Pros: The pizza is easy to pick up and take home and is moderately priced.

Having recently moved to London from New York, I was anxious about the number of readily available, delicious but affordable pizza options I could find here. Pixxa quickly alleviated my concerns. Despite a somewhat-cheesy sign/logo that is reminiscent of a late-night snack shop, Pixxa is really high quality Roman-Italian style pizza. They have something like 6 – 8 pizzas available at any given time, all BYTHESLICE! I tried the mushroom and the margarita, and both were delicious. They also have meal deals, like 7 quid for 2 slices, a side salad and a drink — making it a perfect lunch. Also, the service was exceptionally friendly.

I quite like their giant slices of pizza here. For 5 pounds you will have stuffed yourself with fatty goodness for lunch. Unfortunately everything is good-ish but not good enough… Really like the thin crisp crust though– just work on them topping and salting skills, pizza contains a lot of salty components so it’s important to make sure the slices are not over salted…

Tasty pizza(or should I say pixxa hahah, okay bad joke), think gourmet rectangular slices with upscale ingredients. A good cheap date(oxymoron?) spot or quick cheap eat. Nice owner to boot.

What the… how th… just where d… how have I walked past almost every day for 3 months and not even seen this place! Ooooh, just the smell of it as you go into this little yet colourful place is so tasty. So everyone who has already written a review has said how great the pizza is, and yes, it is marvellous. Had a slice of the potatoe and truffle pizza, melt in your mouth toppings and crunchy thin base — tastetastic But, I wonder, has no one gone upstairs to eat in… they have Connect 4 on every table people!

I need to go back… this is actually a 3.5 star review as one slice of today’s super pizza — buffalo mozzarella and back truffle with cherry tomatoes — was sublime while the other i got to take away — the sausage and spinach — was meh… great concept, looks like real thought goes into the variations and i can see why it is so popular around here — the slices i got came to £6.80 which is a lot but they had some decent lokoing cheaper eats too… defintely going back for lunch… to be continued!

When I was young, I hated mushrooms. As I got older, I grew to tolerate, but never love, them. However, the bastards have been persistent in seeking my affection, and within the past two years I have developed an insatiable appetite for them. This very much mirrors my relationship with the Bön Jovi song ‘Livin’ on a Prayer’. I’m not sure how or why this sudden, shocking turnaround occurred. I’ve heard that when one is pregnant they develop strange cravings, but I’d have had the baby by this point, so I’m ruling that out. Of course mushrooms on their own aren’t the main appeal. It’s what they bring to a spaghetti or a full English, or most importantly, a slice of pizza. I don’t believe I’ve ever had a better slice of mushroom pizza than ones I get from Pixxa. Giant, glistening porcinis on a thin crust with tasteful levels of mozarella and sauce, and you have a mighty fine slice, my friend. I usually get a porcini and one slice of something else, and I haven’t been let down yet by the spicy salami, mortadella, aubergine or anything else yet. This is definitely my favorite pizza place in London.

Alan’s 5 Slices review system Pizza: 1 slice spicy salami and 1 slice cheese and tomato sauce +.5(.5÷1) Crust– Not a great crust, not a bad crust. Really didn’t add anything to the pizza but a bit of a nice crunch. In some parts you can taste the burnt spots of the crust more than anything. +.4(.9÷2) Sauce– Not a very full flavored sauce. Didn’t really taste like much besides tomatoes with a basil leaf or two thrown on top. Was overpowered by the crust or the cheese unless there was a bunch of sauce in one spot. +.5(1.4÷3) Cheese– My girlfriend had the buffalo mozzarella which tasted great, but my standard mozzarella on both of was mediocre. Not only was it less than flavorful, but it was pretty sparse on both the slices. +.7(2.¼) Toppings– Really liked the spicy salami. Had good flavor and also wasn’t any more expensive than the plain cheese. Add a good kick that none of the other ingredients brought to the slice. Still only 2 or 3 small salami slices on the whole slice. +.8(2.9÷5) Atmosphere/Service/Price– Gets some bonus points, because it really is one of the only pizza by the slice joints I’ve come across in London. Inside it has a nice modern. clean feel. The walls are adorned with bright blue and green colors. They have extra seating upstairs and even provide free wifi. Also the slices were only 2 pounds each, which even though the pizza wasn’t outstanding quality it was quite a deal. Final Score: Pixxa — 2.9 slices

I love pizza and I think I may have found the best place in London. Rather, you feel as if you’re on the streets of Italy and have popped in to enjoy a deliciously fresh slice of pizza. They offer a range of basic toppings(e.g. spicy salami, tomato & cheese) and a number of specials of the day. Heaven. I loved it so much I went back the next day. And even better. it is so affordable!

Good Lordy Mc Lord Lord! So i would never go as far as to consider myself a pizza expert, nor am i particualry up to speed with whats hot and whats not in the pizza eating world, but hell if this aint some damn fine pizza!!! Right at the point where the belly is crying«why hast thou forsaken me!!!» did the wonderous sight of two, three, four, nay, a million pizza boxes came wafting there way through the office door an a hotbed of tast-tastic aromas… Yum, let the orgy commence. Stuffed crust? Nope. Deep Pan?, nah. None of these gimmicks are required when you have quality toppings and and freshly prepared bases. Italiam sausage, potato(i know!), mushroom, ham, yum, yum, yum. So aye, not much more to say on that one… is it obvious i enjoyed it? Find Pixxa, love it… it’ll love you back.

There are several different types of pizza in my life. There are the ones I snaffle when I’m seeking a guilty pleasure. These are the stuffed crusts and the sauce-infused bases of the world, the ones I won’t shout about in a room full of cultured folks but I will happily eat them in private. Preferably in front of a bad movie. With a bowl full of potato wedges and a beer. Another kind I like to indulge in, when I’m feeling far more European, is the authentic style — thin as a wafer and piled high with delicately cooked toppings. Pixxa falls into the latter category, and damn it’s good. It’s crisp, it’s fresh, comes in all shapes and sizes and it’s sold by the slice. Huzzah! Why don’t more pizza parlours do this? That way you can mix and match and have a slice of potato and rosemary here(lush), a slice of truffle there, something with a particularly piquant tomato sauce and plenty of weird and wild mushrooms. The veggie options are stunning and you can expect all the high-end classics from the meat side of things — parma ham and all that noise. A great pick-me-up option for lunch, absolutely delicious and incredibly satisfying. Plus the fact that it follows the more Roman pizza trajectory means that the thinness also offers lightness. So you can fit even more in your already full tum. Bonus!

I(nom nom nom) love(chomp) this(scarf scarf) pizza! Whether it’s a slice on the go or a sit down pie for one, er, I mean five… this authentic Roman style street pizza is a perfect pick-me up. I prefer their plain old margherita, however the goodness of the truffle pizza is undeniable. Believe. (Insert face wipe here)

The pizza at Pixxa is sexxy. Although the crust is partly made of soya flour. I’m grossly intolerant to soya. The result isn’t so sexxy. And I rue the fact that I can’t eat more of Pixxa’s rosemary and potato pizza. But you should, because it’s yuppy.(See what I did there? Because Pixxa makes pizza with toppings like potato and rosemary that are obviously marketed for the middle classes? Double entendre, like whoa. Wait a moment while I just pat myself on the back… Okay, done. Carry on.)

On both occasions I’ve been here handsomer-than-average men have served me steaming hot slices with a smile. That must first be said. After living in New York it is hard to give any pizza place five stars but Pixxa’s saved me from starvation on nighttime conference calls and every time I taste one of their triangles they’re terrific.

Thank you Uli for showing me the way. I now have an almost full loyalty card from Pixxa, and actually I love them so much that I can forgive them for changing the Zs for Xs. What’s great about this place is the variety in toppings and the fact you can buy it by the slice. A personal favourite is the roast potato and black truffle, which leave a wonderfully pleasant after taste of feet in your mouth. In a good way though! It’s great for a lunch, perfect for take away and even better for a sneaky snack that you can pop out of the office for. Yummy!

Let me tell you about my latest sensual roller-coaster ride!!! Having not brought my usual home-made lunch, it was the perfect opportunity to check out the restaurants near my new office… and I am really glad I did, because this lunch-experience at Pixxa has successfully stimulated all my senses: 1) The array of different pizzas and other sorts of delicious nibblies was a sight for my sore computer-eyes… 2) The smell of fresh-baked pizza made my salivary glands go crazy and I was tempted to take one slice of every kind of pizza on display… 3) With every bite I was amazed as how crunchy yet chewy the pizza was — that must be because of their special dough-rising technique… 4) The sounds that the pizza gave off when biting into it, took me to a place very far away… maybe Naples? 5) The taste… well, I have to say I haven’t had such a tasty slice of pizza in a long time. I imagined I could taste every single ingredient… and the generous sprinkle of herbs topped it all off! All in all: amazing! In fact, I can’t believe this place is open since February and no one has reported on it on Unilocal

From time to time, I hanker for a NY-style slice(of pizza), but they’re hard to come by in this Town and harder still to find a good one. Enter the affable Simone Giorgini who recently opened this new venture. He brings Roman-style take-away pizza slices to the masses. The slices are very good, with thin crusts balanced between the ever important chewy(in the middle) and crunchy(on the edge) textures, and a variety of toppings. I sampled four different types of slices: Margherita — very good fresh tomato sauce that wasn’t sweet and nice mozzarella; potato and mozzarella with rosemary and potato, mozzarella and truffle — the potatoes were golden, new potatoes and were cooked perfectly and the truffle and rosemary were fresh and fragrant; and, finally, pumpkin, mozzarella, and speck — at first bite, I was hesitant, but once again the freshness of the ingredients won me over along with the fullness of the flavours. Simone doesn’t use shortening in his pizza, so if you take-away, make sure you heat it up at home. You can opt for half slices(which I did, otherwise I couldn’t have tasted so many) and the price is reduced accordingly. A half slice is under £2 and a full slice is a bit over £3.50.
