Quite a narrow little Pizza Express tucked into a row along the Strand, so no great views or anything but speedy service!

Went here in a pinch and the food was O.K. and the service was less than great. There was one waitress and a rude waiter/​bartender who kept making passes at the waitress in a totally inappropriate way. I was trying not to pay attention but we were seated so close to the bar all I heard was him making snide remarks, etc. Anyway, not a great experience-wouldn’t go back.

I have been to this Pizza Express twice and on both occasions the service was appalling. Really slow, rude and unhelpful. They rush you in and then leave you for too long. I ordered olives and they never arrived. I also ordered a drink as soon as I arrived for a pregnant friend who was gasping for some waterthis took 20 minutes. There are plenty of nicer Pizza Expresses in London and this one should definetely be avoided.
Our waiter was rude, always looking into the distance when we were talking to him and really wasn’t on the ball managing more than a few tables.

There are a lot of pizza expresses in the west end, but I did very much enjoy the atmosphere of this particular branch. Great food — weather it be pizza or pasta. They have a very nice down stairs part which has great lighting and each table is far spread, giving you loads of personal space.

Die verschiedenen Filialen von Pizza Express haben alle eine unterschiedliche Qualität und Service. Die Filiale Strand gehört zu den besseren. Zum einen ist die Einrichtung recht geschmackvoll. Zum anderen ist der Service ganz gut. Auch die Pizza schmeckt gut. Die Gerichte sind nicht wirklich einfallsreich, aber es ist gute italienische Küche. Die Preise sind okay, wenn auch nicht wirklich preiswert.
