Great little Hotel mini pub… Really nice bartender, Katarina, kept us coming back for a drink each night before dinner. Great addition to the hotel (the Rydges, which by the way, is great too). Cozy little place to go to have a drink and relax.

We saw this spot — in an adorable hotel — and wanted to check it out, along with the other restaurant/​bar at Rydges, and coincidentally happened to make it back during happy hour!
7 days a week, two for one, which literally ended up being the cheapest drinks I’ve ever had (well, some of, if not THE). Well drinks and wine (house) are two for one, so both my boyfriend and I had 2 glasses (white for me, red for him), and the total for all for was under 4 pounds — positively insane!
Also there is a roaring fire, so it’s super cozy, but very small, so be prepared for others to hear your conversation — if they’re paying attention to you at all over the sports playing on the TVs…
Only downside, no wifi (which means that as my iphone doesn’t work over here, I had no internet access) :(Although you can purchase a pass from the hotel if you so desire.

Small but clean, friendly, happy place with a nice little fireplace close to hotels and Gloucester Road tube station. I felt very comfortable there as a woman traveling along going to have a glass of wine at the end of the day; nice selection of nibbles too. Too bright and well lit to be considered romantic, but perfect for a no-​hassle, relaxing break.
