Seems to be an age since I went there until recently but it reminded of good times. Part of the stables and has some unique little touches inside. Also sa a photography collection of rock and roll royalty in the galleries. I wish there was more hype around Proud to get it going and Camden back to what it once was. Those 00’s were great. Good music all the same.

Who knew Camden could be this different at night ! I’ve been in Camden many times to show friends and visitors around, but it was the first time I went there at night, and I was a nice surprise. Il like the fact that there are different rooms with different music options(one is more r’n’b, the other one techno music), and the outdoor bar is perfect to chill out after having dance like crazy. The only problem was the alcohol supply: the outdoor bar ran out of gin(in London? Really ?) pretty fast and we had to order beer instead. I think they only had to take some from inside but they were under water with all the people ordering drinks.

Not impressed with Proud Camden. My friend booked it for her 30th and it is not somewhere you want to go for a special occasion. When we arrived we firstly had to kick people out of the reserved area because they hadn’t put signs up and then were left sitting around for about 30 minutes with no one coming over to take drinks orders. In the end the birthday girl went over to the bar and dragged back a load of beers herself(we felt pretty bad about that, she didn’t pay for anything else!). Drinks wise, the house red(tempranillo) was ok but pretty expensive. I ordered the mezze platter. It’s a very generous portion but not very good. found the taramasalata too vinegary to be edible and the halloumi was also low quality. The pizzas looked decent but one of my friend’s waited well over an hour(maybe even over 90 minutes for his) due to problems with the kitchen. There’s a nice view of the sunset… right behind a Morrisons petrol station. Down in the snug we couldn’t hear the live music which was great because we could talk properly. The singer was good though. The snug itself is quite nice, it has no view and the seats are fake grass with not enough cushions, so if you’re not wearing thick material they are not very comfortable. Our server, once she arrived was very nice but seemed seriously overstretched. They have a toilet attendant who was screaming at someone in her phone when I went in there, very unprofessional. Also she takes up half the(two) sinks which means everyone is awkwardly squeezing around each other. Overall didn’t like the vibe would not return or recommend.

I didn’t know night clubs like this existed in the pub crawling capital of Camden but in we went to Proud. My first visit was interesting and a slightly less crowded experience which improved the night but when Proud is ‘popping’ it becomes so so. Yes the Stable tables are impressive. The crowd is interesting. But it’s the staff that becomes a nightmare, that’s why Proud is three stars. From the door lady who wouldn’t let us in because of the ratio, to the bartender who wouldn’t explain the drink specials, and the bouncer that made us cram inside early in the night. If they didn’t put us through all this Proud is an epic night club.

We visited Proud on a Thursday evening with a medium-sized group of work colleagues who enjoy a good night out. The main area is a little lacking in character(and was fairly quiet). However, the stable areas at the back are a real gem. As the venue wasn’t busy, we were able to use the stable bar and the individual booths, which are full of character. Another venue that I wouldn’t make a special trip to visit, but will return to if I’m in the area

Great place to watch some new and up and coming bands from around the UK. Plenty of space to enjoy the night away along with a beverage or two with mates. They cater for people with money that want to splash out on private booths and rooms or people like me :) that doesn’t want to spend an arm and a leg to have a great night out… It’s a bit of a weird set up to be honest but i guess being located in Camden makes it’s configuration appropriate… They have an outside area which is decent in size and a large room where the bands and DJ preform. And those willing to brave the cold London weather their is a jacuzzi in the outside area which is barely lukewarm. :) Would i go back? FOSHO!

Cool place in London for a night out with friends, I prefer the bar area with the jacuzzi, next time I’ll bring my bikini!

Hands down, best club in Camden Town. Multiple rooms with different music, including live. There is a hot tub on the back patio(#wat)(I obviously avoided). It will be the first place I go out next time I’m in London #itsamust!

I’m not a huge party animal, however when friends from Australia come to visit and want to go clubbing, I’m more than happy to show them a great time in London. I decided to try out Camden Proud after reading all the reviews, and speaking to a few friends who had been before. We arrived a little after 10pm, and there was no line at the door, thinking it was too early, we still headed in, only to discover this place really kicks off early. The club itself is quite cool. I love the fact it was a converted horse hospital, and lot of the old stables were still in tact. You can hire out different stables for an individual party. The outdoor area for smoking, and general chit chat, is great. I love being able to get fresh air without having to actually leave the club, and not be surrounded my a big smoke cloud. The music was a mix of edm, hip hop, and rnb, which was quite fun. Sadly the dj’s weren’t the best at mixing tunes, but no one really seemed to mind. The negatives are: only 6 loo’s for a few hundred girls is not ideal, the lines were huge most of the night. And the bar staff were lacking a bit in numbers. I didn’t make it to the cabaret side, though it looked fun from what I saw in the door. The club closed a little early for my liking, and made catching night buses home quite an ordeal. Not sure I’d rush back. But my friend loved it, so that’s the main thing.

One of my favorite clubs in London. Love the huge warehouse style and stable setups. We went on a night the DJs were turnt up with rap/hiphop/edm but on another night there was that boring progressive house with repetitive beats all night. Would definitely go back and wish there was an equivalent to this in NYC.

No doubt choice for late-night party. Large venue, affordable prices, mixed public. Everyone can find what he wants: hipster music, lounge, or chill-out terrace. Don’t be scared by the huge waiting line, it’s moving faster than it seems. Don’t forget your ID, they scan it.

Such a unique club, it is in the camden loch market and is in converted horse stables. It is so quirky and seems extremely hipster, a very cool place for young twenty-somethings to see small bands. Not my particular style but still pretty cool.

I adored the Proud Camden– I went for an event for #Amys30 – what would’ve been Amy Winehouse’s 30th birthday. It was a lovely photography exhibit, live dj music(sound was good– Carl Barat was great!) I loved the intimate feel of the little stables set up as rooms! The outside had a nice bar/smoking area. Bathrooms were clean — I’d come back any night to see what was going on!

It’s an incredible place, one of my favorite in London. It’s in the middle of Camden market and the stables and kept its authentic charm. During the day, there are either concerts or expositions(or even sometimes both!). And during the night, the place is transformed into a fantastic clubbing place. It’s not only about music but also all the show that comes with. You can be on the dance floor or you can also rent stable box with your friends to have a bit more quiet place. Anyway, if someone invites you to come over the Proud, do not hesitate to say yes!

Veeeery interesting place and I liked it! If you’re looking for a music venue, well, small one, to listen to the band. This is good place. One thing is very important, dear friend alcoholic — drinks are very expensive! 0.33 Heineken was like £4, I think. Oaky, about the place. It’s stables. Nothing has been builded up. Looks authentic. You have main hall and then«horse cells»… You may feel quite private over there in them cells. Nothing else there. So, as one Unilocaler mentioned — touristy place.

I actually love this place, very much. It has such an easy vibe — you don’t have to wear uncomfortable clothes, you don’t have to listen to strange tunes, you just be yourself and that will be more than good enough. In winter it’s warm inside and you can hang out in the stables if you hired one out, in summer you can chill outside on the patio(you do have to breathe in a fair amount of smoke though!). They play good tunes — normal traditional chart music that will make your heart race up when you’re jumping up and down singing along. It has a ‘cool’ vibe, but not ‘über-cool’ that would make any guys who’s not wearing skinny tight jeans and any girls without the pin up lipstick and 50s hair do — comfortable. Drinks are fairly priced, service at the bar is quick. There are two large dance halls playing two types of music(cannot tell what the smaller room is playing — I normally hang out in the larger hall). Oh it gets crowded, but fair crowded, you’re not going to get smashed into your friend while trying to squeeze in outside to have a drink with your friends outside. Entry is £5 and I think it’s totally fair — I have never regretted paying that. The bouncers and host ladies are nice and welcome you in. It’s a night club. It’s a good nightclub. And yes — am super lucky there is a night bus that goes to my house not to far from there: P P/S They have a hot tub outside — which I thought is a bit distrubing and unhygenic, but I’m sure other people may find it fun.

Was here for Halloween last year. Best. Halloween. Ever. They had a circus theme going and literally had acrobatics happening everywhere in the club. The space was packed and it took us an hour to get it. There’s a good mix of international people and locals, so that kept things interesting. The music was also pretty good, and they had a back patio that served as a place to mingle and chat. The next day, I had on a whole new set of costume accessoires. I had that much fun!

Proud Galleries is a gallery, live music venue, club and so much more based in Camden market on Chalk Farm Road. This really is a unique space, there is a large live music venue(guessing about 500 – 600 cap) with a big stage, in house pa, lighting, bar, rear seating and so on. Attached to this is an additional larger bar and a series of stables, each one a different theme. Some have poles to dance on, televisions, crazy décor and there’s even a karaōke stable! The last time I was there was for a gig and club night and there was also an acoustic booth where acoustic acts played throughout the night, I thought this was a really nice touch! Outside is a seated terrace area of which about 50% is covered, a bar and another stage for live acts to perform, all of this with pretty twinkling fairy lights overhead and right beside the market stalls. Next door to the main venue is a cabaret themed restaurant which I’m yet to try. The only thing stopping it from being a 5 star review is that going there with a band I manage who were playing was very stressful and we were messed about a fair bit. You can’t argue with the fact that there really is nowhere else like Proud Galleries and the uniqueness of the space itself really gives it the edge over the majority of other venues in London.
