This a little hidden gem right by London Bridge Station. Part of the London Bridge Hotel, this is a very elegant and tasteful bar. But don’t let that give you the wrong impression, it’s not formal. Décor is chic, with soothing, sombre tones accented with red. The atmosphere is very relaxed and intimate — good venue for a date, maybe. Regrettably, I didn’t get an opportunity to try their food, but I’ll be going back to find out. But what made this a 5 star experience is the service. This is where they excelled. They have an excellent choice of rums. We ordered the 12 year old, El Dorado rum, but they only had enough for 1 person. The staff went out of their way to recommend an alternative coming up with 2 suggestions, of which they gave us samples. In case you hadn’t gathered, I was impressed. I’ll be coming here again.

This is an oasis on a busy weekend evening. The lounge is elegant with lots of fun lamps and very cosy armchairs in snug corners. The drinks are good, but really not cheap. The food is very good and not too badly priced. We had 4 margaritas and 4 small plates, which came to 50 quid. the small plates were actually not that small, and were delicious — very thick hand cut chips(yummy!), breaded prawns & chilli dipping sauce, flat bread and humous and lamb koftes(not my choice!) Altogether a lovely place, fab service and scrummy food, but quite pricey drinks!
