It’s a cute little bookshop in a posh part of town with a lovely selection and nice décor. But why meh? well… I was looking for a new book to read. I had a few different options in mind. I asked the women behind the counter if they had them in. They looked them up, said no, offered to order them for me, but that’s it. I mean, yes they were nice and offered to special order as well, but to really make this place that little bit special I would have liked them to at least try and see if I would be interested in similar suggestions. Try to understand what sort of book I was looking for and see if there was anything similar in the store. But nope, they looked them up, politely said no and went about their conversation again. I guess they get enough business from the locals to not need to spend that extra time on people. It’s a shame.

Great little book shop hidden away in Queens Park. For a small shop it has a great range of books and incredibly knowledgable and friendly staff. It most certainly caters for the eclectic funky mix of people in the area. If you want a break from the large and often impersonal chainstores then its a nice place for a browse. With Starbucks next door, Baker and Spice a few doors away, the Salisbury pub across the road and only a two minute walk to the fabulous Queens Park — you’re never far from a watering hole or place to chill out with your new purchase. Enjoy!
