The Reject Pot Shop does what it says on the tin, and you’ve got to admire that. Cut-price tea pots, crockery, cutlery and other kitchen paraphernalia adorn this shop’s functionally industrial shelving units, although nothing is cut-price enough to make one think he or she is getting a particularly good deal. If I lived locally, I’d probably own twenty-three reject tea pots by now in varying colours; I’ll be honest. But the prices overall aren’t great enough for me to make the special trip through the chaos of Camden. My reject tea pot purchases must thusly be limited to those times when I’ve made it up to Camden, which are admittedly few and far between. And there you go: brilliant in theory, competent in practice.

Wish it was cheaper but at least everything is in one piece, no chips. All the items are very plain but they have rare bits that don’t often make it across the pond… like my new favorite tea cosy and terra cotta bread saver tiles. I really enjoyed browsing simple and useful items, where the other shops in Camden are touristy crap. Plus, the shop name makes me giggle.

The Reject Pot Shop sells cut-price, end of line kitchen ware and crockery but is not quite as cheap as one would want(not reject enough) The helpful couple who own the shop know their trade inside out and offer an excellent range of simple, white porcelain products but also a range of kitchen goods– Divertimenti on a shoestring. Mixing bowls, tea sets, expresso cups, egg cups, mugs, milk pourers and flan dishes are all in abundance.

After reading Leon’s review, and in need of some new plates(at present there are 3 dinner plates in our house, of 4 people, yes, go figure) I cruised down to the Reject Pot Shop to stock up on some much-needed crockery. And stock up I did, grabbing plates, some bowls and a stack of cutlery that set me back less than a twenty. Pretty happy with that as they is nothing really wrong with the stuff, just size or a few imperfections, but nothing that the average person would lose their mind over! Totally handy and affordable.

I love the reject pot shop. Why? Well because it’s cheap(recurring theme with me) and it has signs saying«Quite nice plates,» and«Useful bowls.» Or is it because being a reject, outcast and quirky is the in thing in Camden? Maybe it is a bit of both, but either way they have some good stuff. Its quirky and those useful bowls of which none are quite the same size, even though they clearly were meant to be cost 79p each.(I personally like the fact there all slightly different.) They have more expensive crockery as they have designer goods that also slightly went wrong in production. If you are looking for extra crockery, cutlery and kitchen utensils at a low price, the Reject Pot Shop is worth a visit.
