The hostel is located near a tube station, so you can easily travel to attractions like Borough Market, Big Ben, etc. Perhaps it was our fault for booking a Standard 8 Bed Mixed Dorm(£50 for 2 nights), but man that room was tiny. The bunk beds were uncomfortably close, even compared to the other hostels we stayed at in Europe. The bunk beds were also squeaky so every time someone tossed and turned, everyone else woke up. The bathroom we used was unisex and pretty clean(but I still wore flip flops). You’ll have to strategically time your showers and what not unless you want to get ready in a crowded bathroom or wait in line for the sink. None of us had issues with running out of hot water during our stay. My experience at Rest Up London wasn’t horrendous, but the tiny rooms and spotty wifi connection(we could only connect to wifi in certain parts of the lobby) were deal breakers for me.

If you’re looking for a place to sleep at the cheapest possible price than this place is perfect. It’s within walking distance to the Elephant & Castle tube station which will get you to anywhere you want to go to in London. I stayed there for one night and stayed in one of the rooms with a bunch of bunk beds. They have lockers for you to lock up your stuff. The bathrooms are a bit lacklustre but that’s not what I came to London for so it didn’t bother me. Staff was friendly and helpful. Overall the stay was adequate but the price exceptional. If you’re looking for a 5-star experience then look elsewhere but if you just need an affordable place to get some shut eye before you go off exploring London then this is the place for you. I would definitely go back again so I can use my money on more important things.

I stayed here for 3 nights from Friday until Monday and it was quite an interesting experience. There was no hot water for half of my stay and it was a little dirty in the room after day 3 but overall 60 bucks for 3 nights is pretty fair. If you just need the bare minimum and just want a place to rest I would look around first.

Very Basic, and overpriced. We got a twin room with a bathroom for a little over $ 100USD for the night. It was safe and clean, and very minimal. We managed to get a bit of WIFI in our room, but it was way better downstairs. This was inconvenient because we wanted to plan things in our room where it was more quiet than the communal area, but oh well. If you are in a bind, its not a bad place. Staff was friendly.
