Went here for drinks and a bite to eat on Wednesday evening with a friend. When we walked into the bar, it was rather noisy with background music, but luckily there is a smaller lounge which is much quieter and more conducive to good conversation.
The pizza was tasty, and the drink selection good. We had the Pinot Noir, which was excellent and just the right temperature. My only slight criticism is that my friend has a serious egg allergy, and when I asked the barman to check the wine bottle label for egg (yes, sometimes wine has egg in it — who knew!), he didn’t seem entirely impressed/​was a little grumpy. But the other service staff we had throughout the evening were good.
