Hard to believe it’s been five years since I updated my original review. Mind you, I’ve been going to Rikki’s amazing fitness classes for well over ten years. There are two instalments, one on Wednesday night(which the review below refers to) and the main one on Sunday mornings, the listing for which was somehow lost in the transfer from Qype to Unilocal If you’re bored with the formulatic fitness classes at most centres, then this offers a refreshing alternative. Amongst many other things, Rikki is an actor and award-winning artistic director which shines through in the workouts which are choreographed around good music which can range from Madonna and Britney to the Proclaimers and Nick Cave as well as the odd current track. I think it helps when you actually like the tunes you’re supposed to sweat to. These classes do get sweaty, but it’s not a boot camp, just good fun.
