Meat fest is what I call a meal at a Brazilian restaurant. You pay a set price and they keep bringing meat on a spit and slice it off for you. They also had a salad bar that all kinds of exotic foods. It took awhile for us to get our bill.

Fighting above its 3 star rating this place was very good. Great value, they meat kept coming. Pepper steak, chicken, ribs the place had a great selection. Young crowd, lots of fun, loud but not crazy. Good food value and drink selections. Excellent location.

It may be because I’m born and raised in Brazil that I am rather demanding when eating Brazilian food, but I thought the meal was fairly standard — not bad, not great. I went there at lunch time when the restaurant wasn’t as packed as it perhaps is in the evening, and a couple of things stood out to me: — Whilst they did have most meats that I’m familiar with available, I had to frequently ask for the waiter to bring my favourites(i.e. the better perhaps more expensive meats) as they were clearly not keen to serve the nicer cuts during the low-peak hour(eg. Picanha ao alho, maminha, cumim, etc). — Another thing I was disappointed with is that the Pão de queijo(cheese bread balls) were a bit cold, and clearly not made the same day — I’m a big big fan of those as they are a brazilian classic, so that was a disappointment. In any case, I can’t complain with the quality of the meat, or quantity(given that it is a rodizio steakhouse!), and the waiters were pleasant to chat to as well. I definitely recommend this style of eating for anyone who is really hungry, as you really can get your money’s worth, but on a small appetite it’s not really worth the money. Perhaps better to go during a more popular time too when they’ll have faster and more frequent circulation of the best meats too.

Brazilian restaurants chain. Decent food with no limit on the amount consumed. Pay around 15 pounds for the no-meat all-you-can-eat menu(actually buffet :)) or go for the full menu, including unlimited meat for around 20 pounds. As soon as you get seated, you will be given a small card; have it the green side and they will serve you different kind of meat till you decide that you are going to explode from food and turn the red side of your card. Your choice if; you are really hungry, you want a quick solution while being in central London, you don’t want to spend too much.

Essen…

One of the best quality meats I’ve ever eaten, some of them come into your plate with a little too much blood and some are well done, it’s all part of it when you’re a true meat lover, right?. I’m not a true meat lover but I can say, comparing to other true brazilian based restaurants, that this one has a lot of quality. It might get around 60£ a dinner for two but the quality is worth it. The subtile traditional seasonings let you understand the brazilian flavours while they literally melt in your mouth(the meat is that soft, yeah!!). The bufet for the sides is always fresh and yummiiii!

Just about tolerable but otherwise quite sub-standard for a Soho restaurant, Rodizio Preto may look inviting enough from the outside but in reality is a bit fake. First tip is don’t sit downstairs as the upstairs salad bar looks much fresher and has more variety than the one hidden downstairs. The vegetables, rice and beans that were available at the downstairs salad bar looked unappetising, cold and somewhat soggy with neglect. As for the meat, yes they do serve different cuts of beef, chicken, lamb and Brazilian sausage often but they all share a common saltiness which my group of diners all concluded must be a ploy to make you yearn for and order more drink and dessert. In addition to this, the well-done sirloin steak is too tough — the kind of texture that is difficult to chew and the bacon wrap was literally so salty that even though it was tiny, it was difficult to consume. Meanwhile, the barman not only did not know what drinks to recommend other than mojito, he also wasn’t familiar with what was contained in ‘The Preto’ — supposedly the restaurant’s signature drink. The other staff were not much better; yes I understand that this is a self-service buffet but a lack of welcome or any hint of a smile did not go unnoticed. I suspect that a dining experience on the ground floor would be better than my experience in their downstairs dining area but I can only judge on what I had and frankly the ethos all around did feel like a money-making mission rather than an attempt on delivering quality food and service.

I tried three different preto in London and this one is definitely one of the best as food and environment. Service is not really good, staff seems stressed and not in focus with customers. Gift a smile sometimes is important. Only one of them was welcoming and made me feel a guest, and then I discover that was a new starter. That’s way fool of enthusiasm. For the rest of the staff I was just a customer to get rid. Three times a waiter came to try to take away my dish with food! Supervisor never came to ask us if was everything ok, and her look was angry or maybe sad! I don’t know. My opinion is that while you work you must keep in focus the guests, be a positive person and forget what happened before to start at work. Anyway, the waiters that spinning around tables for serve the meat are been funny. Just one think, they should be present which kind of meat they serve every time and not waiting the guest that ask them. At the end 1 star for the meat, 1 for the buffet, 1 for the environment.

Worst restaurant ever. I don’t believe they understand how to even cook meat. The first 3 rounds of meat were completely dried out and well done. Multiple times we requested medium rare. What came next is raw. The salad bar is minimal. The had 3 different types of meat. Sirloin, sausage or pork.

I’ve been here twice so far — once for a friend’s birthday, and another for no reason except that I really wanted Brazilian BBQ. For the birthday, in general the service was very attentive, except at the end when I needed them to bring out a birthday cake that I handed to them when I arrived, and it took ages to get the manager’s attention. but other than that, I had no issues with the service on either visit. I thought the meats were pretty good — some cuts were overdone to be sure, but just take a good look at what’s on the skewer before letting them cut you a slice. At £20 per person for all you can eat, it’s a pretty good deal considering Rodizio’s central location. Obviously it’s not a good deal if you’re a vegetarian haha, the buffet without the meat is £15 but nothing in the buffet stands out. There’s one dish with cassava(I think) and beans which looks vegetarian but actually contains meat, so heads up. I think after my two visits here I need a break from Brazilian BBQ for a while, because I always leave feeling so uncomfortably full…

— meat was way too tough. I thought perhaps it was just one kind, but almost everything they brought was tough and Untenderized except the chicken and sausage. — buffet was cafeteria quality — lasagna, chips and mash were among the main dishes. Desert isn’t included. — the maître D had a pompous look about him, responded to out requests curtly, and took forever to get us our bill after we had long stopped eating. Also, he didn’t give me change until I asked for it. I will give It to them that most of the other staff were very nice — the meat servers and manager, and the fact that it’s all you can eat for that price, is great.

Horrid service. Mandatory 12.5% service charge. They should just raise the price if mandatory. We couldn’t get more water. And to top it off, they wouldn’t give me rare meat. Usually at these places, you tell them if you want rare, medium, or well done — there was no choice here, you got the piece the servers felt like giving you.

Love meat? Must eat! We were early, the first covers of the day to be exact. The reason we came here was to sample the all you can eat meat and it was pretty damn good! You pay £15 if you only want access to the buffet or £20 for buffet plus meats, then the basic idea is they keep bringing different cuts of meat out to you until you can’t take it any longer. There are 15 different meat dishes on offer and I guess it is luck of the draw as to where you start. You get a stop/go card which you use to indicate if you want more or if you want a break. The meats were good, cooked nicely and served at the table(if you are by the window expect to grab the attention of passers by!) Some of them were pretty salty but that is the Brazilian way, right? I managed to get through 9 of the meats before I could take no more, for me I thought it was good value but if you are a veggie you might struggle a bit more to get your money’s worth

Went here on Saturday with a group of 5, without a reservation. We arrived late(around 9.30pm) so we thought chances of being seated were slim. Yes it was busy but they managed to find us a table, which was in the lower ground floor. Would have preferred the ground floor but beggars cant be choosers. We had exceptional service, our waiter was really great. Plenty of choice on the buffet which was lovely and the meats were very good. Some cuts were extremely salty but that’s the Brazilian way. We had a good time and everyone enjoyed themselves.

I’ve been to many Brazilian BBQ joints all over the wolrd and this one is just as good as most of the ones I’ve been to, especially for the price. Granted, I’ve been to other locations that offer a larger selection of meats but for what you pay, this place is really good. I don’t think there was one bad thing on my plate. All the meats were cooked perfectly and to my liking. Everything was seasoned well. Even the chicken heart which I don’t particullarly fancy was really. They did a great job not over cooking it. If you’ve never had chicken heart, I would suggest you try it here. Even my adventurous little girl enjoyed a double serving. The salad bar was adequate. They offered all the normal goodies of Brazilian restaurants including feijoada(stewed black beans) with a sprinkling of farofa(crispy little side dish … similar to panko crumbs… spiked with bacon joints), the perfect accompaniment to the meats. They also had an endless supply of pao de queijo(CHEESYBREAD!!!) –I love this stuff. Tapioca flour and cheese. made into these perfect little balls. It’s sort of like cheesy moch, so so yummy. This isn’t a steakhouse. If you’re looking for exceptional cuts of meat go find a steak house, but if are looking for really good authentic Brazilian BBQ, then definitely hit this place up. On a Saturday you may have to wait, but it’s just accross the street from Chinatown, so you can pick up some dim sum and moon cakes for later. There are also a bunch of souvenir shops in the close proximity if you needed to kill a few minutes of wait time. 3.5 stars for sure. Docked 1.5 starts because Gauchos skipped us a couple of times which chapped my hide, and the salad/buffet bar could have used some regular attention. All in all a fun experience.

This place is average at the price reflects it. There is absolutely nothing wrong with it, it is just not spectacular. The meat is good, as are the sides, and the atmosphere is nice and it’s around the corner from a bunch of good Soho bars and venues. I personally prefer Rodizio Rico in Angel, but this place is super packed all the time so they must be doing something right.

A hungry friend and I dropped in here in search of food the other day. There is definitely LOTS of food here! I have been to a Brazilian churrascaria restaurant before so I knew what to expect, namely a buffet of sides and an endless parade of waiters with one meat after another until you either burst, or turn your card to the side that says no. I was expecting this to be like the other one I have been to(sadly, not in London), but the food here was very average at best. I love meat, so I was sad that none of them stood out for me, they were all just okay, not the beef, chicken, lamb, nothing stood out at all. I actually preferred the lasagne from the buffet in the end and went back for seconds of that instead of having more subpar beef and lamb. It wasn’t bad, but it was pretty average and not worth the price unless you are very very hungry.

Food is good, if you can get a deal from one of those other sites(you know the ones) it makes the experience even better. Very busy on a Thursday evening but I assume there are people on here from the surrounding theatres. Staff were ok although the first waitress we had was a bit off the pace but those who came after her were very good, informative about how the food process worked. Those who cut the meat at your table are very skilled just make sure you hear what they are cutting!!! Will go back again.
