Ronald Brown Opticians

Ronald Brown was acquired by Scrivens but I can’t change the name via the Unilocal app on my phone (!)
Anyway I have been using this optometrist for four years now not under the ‘Ronald Brown’ name as well as Scrivens (it essentially remained the same, bar the sign above the door) and the service has always been exceptional.
The reception staff and the optometrists have always been courteous, helpful, sensitive, and overall lovely people.
Recently the optometrist’s equipment has been upgraded so no more of those (kind of creepy IMO) big boxes hanging off of the wall, but an HD screen which sees (excuse the pun) you through your eye examination; as well as a much less intrusive (and more accurate, apparently) eye pressure test. No more horrible puffs of air to the eye!
My optometrist has always been polite, explains anything I ask, and they go the extra mile if you’ve experienced any odd problems with your vision at no extra cost. Highly recommended.
