Went for the half price main promotions. The entrée pappadams were great with good condiments. Cauliflower baiji was very average. Chicken tikka masala was very average. Spicy lamb was excellent. Naan was good but nothing special. Overall not good enough to come back as a lot of competition in this area.

This place was amazing! My partner and I had been craving some delicious Indian food for a few days, so when date night finally rolled by and we decided to check out Royal India for a lovely dinner. Upon arrival we were delighted to find out that they were doing two curries for the price of one! Not only that, through a simple Unilocal check in we also received a free starter! With the night off yo such a brilliant start we both had our fingers crossed the food would follow suit and not disappoint. We ordered the Paneer Tikka for our starter and it was divine! Seriously incredible. The cheese was rich in flavour and the dish even came with a small side salad! For her main my partner ordered the Dhansak Pathia prawn curry. She thought it was really good but could have been a little more spicy! She really enjoyed her meal and said it was her favourite meal she has had in London! I ordered a lamb Roghan Josh curry and it was also incredibly good! I would recommend it to anyone. The curries were both incredibly made and all the ingredients tasted so fresh. this is definitely not one of those places that mass produce curries and just heat them up when they need to be served. I also ordered a Naan bread, some Speciality Rice with mushroom and a Kachumber Salad. all three were incredible and really blew us away. All and all we gave this place 4 stars, not at all because their was anything wrong with the food, but we did feel we waited a little long for our food. we waited 20 mins for our starter to arrive and then another 40 mins after that for our mains to arrive. We understand the place was busy but still feel like things could have happened a little faster. We were starving! Hands down the best curry we had in ages though, and at such an affordable price! love this place!

Finally — an Indian restaurant that delivered, and well! I was poking around Unilocal looking for someone to bring me some tasty Indian dishes so I would neither have to cook, clean, etc. Wary of other Indian places that have been a major fail on the delivery front, I decided to give it one more try. Success! Nothing fancy, a few dishes of tikka masala, some starters, naan. It all arrived quickly, hot, contained in the correct containers and the online ordering process was EASY. I’ll be adding them to speed dial.

Came here for the lunchtime buffet(7.50) food was very nice, not greasy, really tasty sheek kebabs! Staff friendly. We were here on a quiet Sunday afternoon. Would eat here again.

I admit it, if there’s one thing London beats New York in, it’s the Indian food. And this little gem here is the epitome of great(albeit anglicized i’m sure) Indian fare. I’ve been in restaurants on Brick Ln, and even though they are still mighty good and still miles better than whatever I’ve had in New York; Royal India was still better by a few notches. The food was amazing. The nan felt like it was melting in my mouth, the curries were complex, and rich. The rice was perfectly cooked and perfumed the table. A huge bottle of Kingfischer didn’t set us back much, nor did any of the food really. The food was surprisingly inexpensive; despite the décor being very aesthetically pleasing and clean. Everyone’s dish was amazingly delicious(we all ordered something different). The waiters were very nice as well. I really loved this place, and I’m drooling over the thought of the food now. I’m mad we don’t have a place like this here. I’m definitely returning to this spot when I get back to London… whenever that is.

I was really dissapointed, my meal was not worth writing home about, and the service was poor, and even for Stokie I thought it rather expensive, admittedly I was on my own but I felt I was being rushed by the staff,
