Southampton Row is vibrant with artsy Central St. Martins College of Art and Design and the many restaurants including the British museum in the area. Russell Square is situated in the heart of all this. A well planned open garden, it has a water fountain feature in the middle of the square. Also in one corner of the park is a café serving beverages and coffee. Its one of the only green spaces in the heart of London that is open to the public for an extended time of day. They also tend to have small music performances and exhibition displays for children. Keep checking with the park to find out more info.
