I am a regular user of this supermarket and it offers the usual food shopping plus a clothing store as well and a household goods section. There is a very good delicatessen and an in-store bakery. Not many of us go to supermarkets for fun but as supermarket shopping goes this is a good place to do your shopping and the queues are normally not too long. Reccommended.

The Sainsbury’s in Coldhabour lane has just finished a monumental refurblishment. The store has now two floors worth of products available. Next to it is a three story carpark which has taken the place of the old Homebase store that used to be there. The store itself is huge and it is definately a condender for one of the biggest store in hayes.

I live in between Tescos and Sainsbury’s and have always shopped in Tescos as I have not liked shopping at the Sainsbury’s in Hayes due to many reasons; It was quite a small supermarket and always very busy with never many staff on the tills. I also never found the supermarket particuarly clean and tidy it wasn’t by far one of Sainsbury’s best outlets I have been to a very nice one in Woking and the difference is massive. Although… As of November 2008 they are extending and refurbishing which is long overdue. I have yet to go but if it is good I just might start shopping in Sainsburys instead. Watch this space

Sainsburys Hayes is absolutely massive. At the moment(Nov 08) it is having a refit. This includes the building of a second floor and an underground car park. At the moment it offers a good range of food and drink with a small clothes department. There is a good selection of cds, dvd’s and games along with books, cards and wrapping paper. During the run up to Christmas this store has the best selection of ‘supermarket gifts’ in the area. It offers a free car park but the trolleys do need a token or £1 coin in order to use them. The staff are friendly and helpful and the shop clean and tidy. It’s quite easy to find– just follow the yellow Super Store signs
