It’s not that small, but doesn’t seem to stock anything much more than the basics. What really gets me is that the aisles are laid out in a really odd pattern, so it’s easy to miss one, or if you go round in what seems to be the logical order, you tend to go from veg to cat food to cold meat to shampoo to cheese to loo roll to bread. It does not help someone like me who never makes a list and relies on visual reminders!

Beckenham’s Sainsbury’s is rather large and can be found on the high street through a little alleyway or via the car park to the side. It’s got a good range of everything like most Sainsbury’s and is easy to work your way around. I have never found it too busy in here. It isn’t open as late as most Sainsbury’s though, I think it’s latest opening time is 9pm. It’s not as modern as others either but at the end of the day, when it comes down to it this Sainsbury’s will get the job done for you.

Sainsbury’s in Penge always seems to have what I’m looking for, even if Sainsbury’s is a shadow of its former self. Then again, I never drive to this branch and, if I did, I imagine this would be an expletive-laden rant against the tiny car park that’s tucked around the back. It’s light, it’s airy, it has a decent range, though it can be a bit skewed towards the area, which is certainly lower-end.
