A favourite of mine to grab a spot of lunch, there are so many options and all are great, I’ve never had a bad experience. Their home made chicken escalopes in a panini are delicious and their jacket potatoes are ginormous and always served with a generous amount of filling. Great service, the owner will remember your name and your regular order which you rarely find elsewhere. Would highly recommend.

Our first stop to grab a bite to eat and drink coffee, located right across our Air BNB spot. Prices seemed rather decent, and there were a good 10 tables in the store. Breakfast plates of toast, bacon/ham/sausage, eggs, and grilled tomatoes sounded great at around 5 – 6 pounds, but I went with the breakfast sandwich that had egg and sausage(possibly close to bangers?) and added cheese, cuz really, you can’t have a breakfast sandwich without gooey cheese! The bread here is thick but amazing. Absolute standout, and the sausage was a bit porky but nothing a little tabasco can’t mask. Loved my sandwich, it was the perfect start to the day. Service here is pretty good as well, and would’ve gone back for a ciabatta sandwich if I had more time. They do unfortunately charge 50 p if you use card.

A sandwich bar with the same name as me is always going to grab my attention. The staff are friendly and slightly Comical, food is well presented and fresh. The only issue I have is that they charge 50p for all card transactions. Other than that I would highly recommend Scott’s sandwich bar.

I’ve been here a few times because it’s convenient for work. I didn’t much like it at first and were it not popular with work colleagues I wouldn’t have gone back. My initial dislike(I first went in the summer of 2011) was based on unfriendly service and the fact that the food was nothing special. I must admit that recently it’s improved drastically, the staff are much friendlier and it seems to have lost its chilly atmosphere(it didn’t help that half of it is on the corner of Bedfordbury, which is one of Covent Garden’s ugly streets). It’s a good place to go if you want somewhere independent and don’t want to pay excessive prices — the food has also been much better of late. There is never a long queue so it is great for a quick stop off, but more a place for sustenance than elegance of service. Overall I’d say it is fairly average: don’t expect to be blown away.

A fanstastic BLT(with avocado), friendly service, and a place to sit down for a bite in central London. Yay! Worth noting that they don’t accept cards, so be prepared with cash in hand.

Nothing special, either for food or service. And considering it was a Saturday lunchtime they weren’t overstretched. A pity, as I generally prefer to support this sort of smaller independent business. We won’t be going back.

Perfectly prepared sandwiches! Whether you are going for breakfast or doin’ it up for lunch this is a great spot to check out. Several of my girlfriends got the eggs, which made this girl who’s never tempted by breakfast options — strongly reconsider. The eggs looked amazing, not dry, but also not overly buttery. Personally, I can highly recommend the prawn and avocado sandwich! Seriously it was so goood. The service is speedy and the prices are really reasonable.

Good value, quick and delicious. Great friendly staff. Place is clean and well presented. Excellent change from the tired old chains — much better and cheaper.

This place has a queue out the door at lunch time… everyday. That tells you what the locals think of this place. For lunch; their specialty is freshly carved, hot salt beef sandwiches. I’m not even a salt beef fan but it never fails to make my mouth water. If you’d rather miss the crowds, pop in for a spot of breakfast. They offer a good brekkie range, but I always opt for the thickly sliced toast and jam. Other good lunch options are the baked potatoes. It’s not the cheapest place in the area for this style of food, but they are the tastiest. If you do go at lunch time though, don’t expect to find a table!

The food here looks fantastic but the only thing I have ever been tempted by ad have tasted is the chocolate brownie! This is another place I will lurk in when I’ve had a naff day. The lovely staff never judge me for buying 2 brownies and always smile and look me in the eye when I order — a rare thing in London I tell you that! Okay back to the brownie — this moist, sweet, crispy and chewy delight ticked every box for me. It made me so happy that I didn’t even need a cup of tea after to swill the sickness away! Brilliant!

High quality supplier of massive door-stop sandwiches, with good staff, good servings and nice ‘n cheap — about £2.70 for a made-on-the-spot big cheese tomato and salad sandwich. Its basic fare though, so if you’re after cheese other than cheddar, for example, then you’re out of luck. I miss you BLT Shoreditch — but Scott’s, you come close.

Nice Russian ladies serving up potatoes with toppings and sandwiches. I had a simple roast chicken sandwich and got a reminder that salad in the UK doesn’t mean a side salad, oh yeah. It’s a simple place, but will do fine for a quick refuel.

This sandwich bar is a bit more then most of the half-assed attempts made by other sandwich bars to be worthy, have competitive prices and make you want to come back. I want to go back, to get some cheap sandwiches at this worthy sandwich shop! The place is pretty large, with alot of seating available both inside and outside. Behind the counter sit loads of platters of sandwich filling — meat stacked about half a foot high, ready to be purged for your convenience and pleasure. Baked potatoes(actually oven baked as opposed to the microwaved mush other places provide) are also available, complete with the unique oven baked crunchy skin that you can enjoy so much. I certainly enjoyed them! The music is loud and the staff are harangued and busy yet genial. A nice little place.
