I am writing this review with much sadness. I have shopped in Screen Face Notting Hill for at least 10 years. Recently, I purchased a product from them and took it home, however I did not use it, as I was in 2 minds as to whether the shade was definitely for me. Therefore, I went back to screen face with the product intact and in it’s original state and packaging. I spoke to a staff member and spoke of my concerns, and showed him the product that I had purchased some weeks ago, I expressed whether the colour was right for me? And could he please check the shade by using the display product on me? With a bit of going up and down the stairs, he managed to find the product. He asked me to follow him whilst going up and down the stairs, which I did. I placed the product back in my bag, thinking that it was the correct shade for me. It was my product that I had already purchased some weeks before-There was absolutely no reason for me NOT!! to place my product back in my bag. It would be nice for people to at least be courteous and offer an apology where it is due. It is such a shame. Facial expressions say a thousand words. I know many make up artists rely on screen face, however please be vigilant when taking items in and out of your bag. It is not nice to be accused of any wrong doing. I am lucky that I know Anjelina, and Josh who is fantastic and so knowledgable. The new gentleman working there is pleasant, and did check the shade on me. I have shopped at Screen Face for the best part of 15 years. Not all staff have been pleasant over the years and I do hope that Anjelina and Josh will be members if staff who will be retained at Screen Face. It makes a world of difference when staff a warm and welcoming, and allow you to shop rather than keep asking you if you need any help. The new female member of staff knows who she is, and indeed has a lot to learn. Not only did she make an accusation but she was extremely aggressive in her voice and expression. I actually thought she was going to pull my bag from me. I hope no one ever goes through this experience. I probably will never go to Screen Face unless Anjelina or my favourite staff member Josh is working. Just wanted to say Thank you to the gentleman who checked the shade on my face that afternoon as I did not get a chance to say Thank you. When accusing you have to make sure you are exact with your facts as a future customer could be putting any thing in her bag. Luckily we have the internet these days where we can all join together and share our experiences. Thanks for reading. To my amazement and absolute HORROR!!, a new member of staff stated the following exact words!!” I SAWYOUPLACEANITEMINYOURBAG!!!”(she retorted) As a loyal customer for numerous years I was shocked to hear her statement. There were 2 new members if staff that day that obviously did not know me. Whilst the male member of staff was assisting me, he was also amazed at what his female colleague had saidHis facial expression showed just as much shock as me. I tried to point out that the product was mine and I had paid for it a few weeks before and I had taken it out of my bag to show the gentleman serving me. It was my product and it is up to me whether I wished to place it back in my bag or walk around the shop with it. I admit mistakes can happen, however this situation was not dealt with correctly. This new female member of staff made no apology to me. If Josh or Anjelina had been working in the shop that day, this would never have occurred. I am extremely disappointed to say the least. Although Screen Face is a shop where I have always enjoyed shopping I am unable to say in words how disappointed I am. I have never been spoken to or indeed accused of any such disorder. I am also on first name terms with the owner of Screen Face, who is a lovely lady. Screen Face is a shop where you will find every thing you could ever want but please be vigilant, as this has been quite hurtful. Thank you for reading this. Warm Regards.

I was like a five year old in a candy store, upon entering this Aladdin’s cave of professional make up. Stacked sky high with every conceivable shade of make-up, special effects, brushes, bags, postiche and all those trade secrets, you could literally spend hours in here creating a whole new identity if you’re a tinkerer like me! Screenface products have been used in films from Star Wars Phantom Menace, Indiana Jones and Monty Python through to Casino Royale, Harry Potter, Gangs of New York, Apocalypto and Blood Diamond. The new Bond. Living for Love. Dying for Thrills. Yeeha.
