Silverlock Clinic

This is a decent NHS GP Surgery, within walking distance of Surrey Quays, Canada Water and also South Bermondsey. It’s a pretty monstrous looking building from the outside — it’s on the ground floor of a huge tower block just off the Rotherhithe New Road and it looks a bit scrappy around the edges. However, read on!!!
I’ve always had a good experience with Silverlock. Bookings are easy on the phone, repeat prescriptions can be forwarded straight from them to a local pharmacy so you don’t have to continually stop in. The doctors are generally pretty good, as are the nurses. The ones I’ve come across have been polite and friendly, and have sent me onto hospital referrals when needed.
At the end of the day, if you don’t care about what your medical centre looks like from the outside, this is a good option. You can usually get seen quite quickly, especially if you call before 8am for a same day appointment.
