Simms Steak House

My husband and I have been going to Simms for a few years now and WE LOVE IT. The menu is full of such tasty dishes it is hard to choose. The chef is fantastic and will cut your steak to order nothing is too much. We feel part of the Simms family and will be joining them on Valentines Day as they always make us feel special.

I have been a regular at Sim’s for 6 years now, I can’t believe the previous review left. I can only imagine that it is someone trying give the establishment a bad rep for competition. Pure nonsense. Anyone who has ever been to Sim’s knows that the food is freshly prepared in view of customers and the steaks are 1^st class. Me and the family always experience a warm and welcoming atmosphere and the staff are extremely hospitable and attentive. I fully recommend Sim’s my personal favourite is the peppercorn steak the sauce is amazing and the steaks are perfect :) my wife loves the fresh fish the place is a must for all food lovers.

Visited this place approximately a year ago and since joining qype felt the need to comment, such is the appalling standard of this place.
«Best prime steaks in town» boasts the sign outside. To be honest i wasn’t expecting much, but this was a joke. A limited menu better suited to a transport café.
Steaks ordered medium rare and well done. Both came rare. When pointed out the chef became stroppy and basically cremated the steak and sent it back. The waitress then had the audacity to ask if it was cooked enough! Chips were greasy. Salad was old, unwashed iceberg lettuce and a few bits of old tomato.
When I refused to pay for one of the meals the atmosphere turned menacing! we escaped unscathed, but seriously this is one of the worst places i’ve ever been. How it survives is beyond me.
