I hate hair. I also hate shaving, waxing, plucking, electrolysis, threading and bleaching. If I missed anything out there, I hate that too, because all are either time consuming, painful, or just plain silly. Have you ever noticed those dark haired women with their moustaches bleached blonde? Er, yes we can still see it love, only better now as the sun’s reflecting off the hair. I once even tried ‘Silky Mitts’(sound nice don’t they), but actually they were just a glove made out of sand paper, which you literally sand the hairs off with(not to mention most of your skin at the same time). But since as I’m not blonde, a naturalist, or a feminist, something had to be done. Here is where I introduce ‘Skin Oasis’, the laser hair removal specialists who use the most amazing hair banishing treatment that money can buy: the lazer. I’ve been a customer for a few years now and I can’t fault them, they also offer much cheaper packages than other more well known clinics such as Skin. They can treat any area you can imagine by using a laser that blasts each hair away individually. The fact that they describe it as if ‘a rubber band were flicked over your skin’ is a slight under-exaggeration as, to put it plainly, it’s pretty painful. Although they can vary the strength of the laser if you’re finding it too much, I’ve noticed that the higher the strength, the more long lasting the results. After all, no pain, no gain! For large areas such as legs, they mark you up with a white pencil so they don’t miss a single hair. It does take a while as the laser beam is only the size of a pen tip, it hurts, and makes you smell of burnt hair, but the results are fantastic. The redness takes about a day to reside and all the hairs finally drop out after about a week and after that you’re smooth as a baby’s bottom. It’s a miracle. You can buy a course or get it done as and when(they recommend you have it done every 6 weeks) but I find that it takes much longer for it to even begin to reappear. The staff are highly qualified and lovely(although some more lovely than others) and the clinic is immaculate. I can’t recommend this treatment highly enough for a no-fuss, hair-free life. Oh and it’s also for men too!

I bought a groupon deal of 6 sessions of laser hair removal here and used them on my bikini line. The treatment itself was quite good and I could see results straight away. What I liked about this place was that there was no restrictions on the amount of bikini line you wanted off. They ask you to shave what you don’t want including the underneath on your lips and some side of your leg(if your hair goes that far). As far as laser hair removal goes, the treatments were good and even after 2 years I still have significantly less hair than I originally went in with. Some hair has grown back but every laser clinic should make it clear to you that the treatments are never permanent, they just make your hair follicles dormant for a significant amount of time. Some treatments were better than others, depending on the therapist you would get. Some are really thorough and some are slightly careless to the point of having to remind them to do an area that they’ve forgotten. One girl was amazing, she was an asian(indian) girl, quite young but I don’t remember her name. She was mega thorough every time and super nice as well. All round I would recommend this place — maybe ask for a particular therapist if you’ve found one that you like there.

Definitely the best place for hair laser removal. I had my underarm hair laser removed here and 2 years later I only got 4 hairs grown back on each underarm. Each of the session was 5mins, the machine was so great so it went really deep and effective. I have recommended all my friends and family to this place. It’s worth every penny!

So far, so good! I enrolled on a N-Lite Laser Acne course(3 appointments with a month in between them) and a Microdermabrasion course(3 appointments after I’m done with the acne course). The laser course cost £480.00 but the microdermabrasion course was free as part of their offer(usually £199.00). Also purchased a few Jan Marini products from them that should help me with the acne. Will post another update in a few months’ time.
