That was good! I needed a quick meal after work on a weekday and I sauntered into this place. There were a number of surprises starting with the live music — an old man beating out Beatles covers. They do takeaway as well and thats what I did because I had a call to attend after getting home. The pizza was good though it does have a fairly thick crust. The combination of Egg and pepperoni(I think it was) was quite refreshing. Might actually go down there for a proper meal one day. Prices are not over the moon — Not for live music and a pizza especially.

What a great pizzeria! Came here on a Friday evening for dinner with a mate and we were treated to live music(piano + singer), the server was an absolute pleasure and the food wonderful. Unfortunately they only had one option for beer on the menu, but if you’re a wino they’ve got more than a few for you to choose from! I’ll definitely be back soon to try other dishes.

There are better places, almost in every direction, for pizza, but the live jazz every evening is the draw here. Great location too. You’ll have to book as it’s usually full — I think this place must be in all the tourist guide books — and the staff are slow enough that there isn’t a quick turnover. The pizza itself(indeed all the food options) aren’t fantastic but I found the toppings to be fresh. Not my favourite style of pizza — a little too Pizza Hut what with the thick base. Come for the music — impress your friends. Just don’t expect to be wowed by the food.

This place looks like a nice pizza joint from the outside. But don’t let it fool you. The pizza was almost as good as your regular frozen pizza, the service under average and the music about the same as in your office elevator(although the lady singing was cute). I say skip it.

You know you are onto something good when your friends eyes start to brighten up and tummies start to be rubbed in anticipation of pizza-time. Got admit, Soho Pizzeria doesn’t have first place in my pizza heart, but it is up there as a choice when in town. It is heaving, it seems, constantly, but a table just freed up as we arrived late on a Saturday night, so it seems we rather lucked out. ANyway, drinks menus are limited, but there is a reasonable menu in terms of pizza i.e. not too little, not too many. The pizza itself, for a personal size is a hefty size even for my appetite. I had the goats cheese and caramelised onion(oh baby, ONIONS), while my friends tucked happily into mushroom, fiorentina and capriccosa(spelling a bit dodgy on that one). All were smiling on completion. The anti-pasto is also pretty good, with a delicious, sticky balsamic vingear dressing. YUM. For those still hungry, a plate of profiteroles were also ordered, and looked frankly like no profiterole I had ever seen, due to a chocolately choux pastry and looked a lot more handmade than those I am accustomed too. Definitely a place well worth a visit when in town and craving an Italiano special.

We came across this place while exploring the neighborhood and were incredibly pleased with the portion sizes, atmosphere, and service. The pizza is DELICIOUS and the people watching is wonderful. I withheld one star because of the beer selection(only Peroni is available) and how long we had to wait to get our bill. The watiress was LOVELY all the way up to getting us the check. We weren’t in a rush but would have appreciated her checking with us within 20 minutes of finishing our coffee that we ordered after our meal. Alas, it is a lovely little pizzeria, and we would absolutely return if given the opportunity.

I used to work around the corner and got hooked on coming here for lunch because I loved the spaghetti. I don’t think I’ve ever had anything else so I can’t comment on any of the other food options. It’s a great place to stop and eat lunch at in Soho. And for what it’s worth, last time I was there Christian Slater was a couple tables over from me. Kind of surreal.

I’ve been going here with work people for years, since it’s only a small block away from our HQ and we’re on good terms with the owners/staff. Pizzas are pretty good, salads are decent(quite large), pasta, the few times I’ve had them, are just ok(portions a bit on small side if memory serves). The wine selection is pretty good(we usually stick with the Montepulciano), but we have had a few occasions where it’s smelled a bit musty. Waitrons have always agreed and replaced the bottle with no fuss. Soho Pizzeria seems(I may be completely wrong here) to have once been a Pizza Express as they seem to stock Pizza Express boxes(for take away), and have similar coloured branding. I think it’s far superior to any Pizza Express though, and I vastly prefer it to the Pizza Express Jazz Club on the other side of Soho(of course you don’t get«big name» jazz singers/players at Soho Pizzeria). I think the main problem we’ve had with the place is that every now and then the pizza bases are impossible to cut with the blunted instruments you are given, so it may be better to request the pizza be cut into slices for you. Pros — efficient friendly staff — good pizzas — decent food — quite affordable(for its location) — jazz Cons — pizzas are often tough to cut — a few instances of corked wine

I’m going to keep this one short. Went to this place the other day and got a pizza for around 8 quid. Got a beer to go along with it. The service was good and the waiter was attentive. The Pizza was freshly cooked and they piled on the meats which I love. The personal pizzas are definitely good enough for someone who is hungry but not starving. The seating was great… we got a window seat. it’s very small in there which gives a nice personal vibe especially in the evenings. It’s a nice place to visit for a casual and fun dinner, but also can be someone intimate at the same time. Short enough?

Nice little surprise in a fairly touristy area, live music, reasonably priced and tasty food and old school waiters. I think we might have found a wee gem!

Lovely bustling pizza place just at the end of Kingly Street. House plonk is perfectly drinkable, doughballs are big and butter is buttery and herby! Pizzas are a bit smaller than pizza express etc but actually lots of topping and stuff and couldn’t even finish mine(very unusual for me)! Came to about £17 including sides and booze which isn’t bad. My egg on my pizza wasn’t runny, but this place still gets 5 stars. Looking forward to going back.

I ate at Soho Pizzeria last Sunday and if I’m honest it was a very mixed experience. Our waitress was lovely, very chatty and friendly. She took our order very quickly and made no fuss about us ordering tap water. We sat by the open kitchen because I always like to watch the pizza’s being made and thrown in to the hot pizza oven. Although I got to see all of this, I also saw hot food hang about on the pass for ages. The staff were enjoying their dinner at the table next to us and kept returning to their plates in between runs to the tables. Although our pizza’s still arrived very quickly, I had watched them cool down nicely for around 10 minutes before hand. The pizza’s themselves were tasty but a bit greasy. Nonetheless, I can’t fault the prices, dinner and a couple of beers only cost £16.50 and the service was very speedy. My biggest moan about this restaurant though was the state of the toilets. It was seriously grim. The bins(sanitary too!) were overflowing and clearly a few mothers had struggled to find a place to leave dirty nappies. Yuck!

This is a great place for groups and is always packed so has a lovely bustling feel, which is made even better by a cheap menu and live Jazz. Granted, if you’re seated too close to the musicians, you may find them a little loud, but try and sit on the other side of the restaurant and you’ll enjoy the background sound. The quality of the music has also always been, in my experience, amazing. For me, the price is the number one draw, with pizzas averaging about £7. It is also nice to go to one of the pizzerias in the area which isn’t a chain.

I used to come here often, with my mum because we loved the great pizza and the staff were lovely. It is very reasonably priced considering the area, It is about £7 for a pizza… but their delcious! I also highly recommend the Chocolate Fudge cake £3.95, its yummy but ask for a blob of ice cream! Another plus side is every evening from 7 — 11, there have live Jazz musicians which really sets the evening off. Theres no entrance free, and the music is free for diners. This place is a winner at night

Soho Pizzeria is such great value for money– the pizzas are far better than some of the major pizza chains. I have never had to queue but I have walked past and seen people spilling out onto the pavement. This might seem crazy as there are quite a few reasonably priced restaurants on Beak Streets but the pizzas are so tasty. There is a lot of variety and I have tasted a few but the piccante(spicy beef, red onions, red peppers, mozzarella, tomato) is defintaely my favourite. If you’re not in the mood for pizza they also serve a small selection of pasta dishes and main course salads. The atmosphere at Soho Pizzeria is great and the pianist just adds to the lively vibe. It’s a great place to catch up with your friends at the weekends which won’t leave you skint by Monday morning!

I went here last night. I was so hungry and my first impression wasn’t very good but I stuck with it because I was starving. There was two men in the corner playing the piano and guitar way too loud but once they went on their break we could hear each other again. You can’t fault the prices though, £5,15 for my margharita pizza and £1.50 for a coke, not exactly bank breaking. It took us ages to be seated and annoyingly they wouldn’t let the four of us sit at the only free table because it seats five and that’d be a waste. Not cool. So we stood in the cold until a table left and we didn’t wait to be seated, just grabbed it. Lucky we did because the place got jammed then, people queuing out the door all night. I’m not surprised, the pizzas although small are delicious, as is one of the waiters!(there were a lot of single women there might I add). It’s good for the low prices, but bring gloves for the wait outside, this place is packed, even on a Thurday.

Such a good and very simple pizza restaurant and always busy. This is a no frills place. If you want a nice pizza, which is a bit doughy, with a thick crust(none of this thin and crispy malarkey!) then this is your perfect place. The pizzas aren’t huge, but because they are quite thick they more than fill you up. Some really good choices for veggies too. Background music from a pianist gives it a really nice vibe too. Quick service and just does what it says on the tin!

I’ve often walked past the Soho Pizzeria and thought it looked like a good time. So before a gig we had in Soho one night we thought we’d step in a have a pizza. We walked in, after a few minutes we were sat uncomfotably close to another table — it wasn’t actually another table, it was a 4 person table that another couple were already sitting at — even their stuff was left on our side. I was very tempted to put on the sunglasses they left on my placemat. We laughed at this situation, and keep trying to have embarrasing conversations because the proximity to two strangers trying to enjoy a romantic meal was pretty funny. We stopped laughing when 15 minutes had passed and we hadn’t even been given menus yet. A further 10 minutes passed and we got up and left. To be ignored for nearly 30 minutes is simply terrible, terrible service. We went round the corner and got a take-away from Pizza Express — a million times faster and cheaper too.

This is one restaurant in the west end you can be sure to get good food at, whether you eat-in or takeaway. The staff are friendly and most nights they have musicians playing to accompany your meal. They are mainly pizza orientated, hence the name, but if a pizza doesn’t fill you up they do a lovely creamy vegetarian pasta perfect with dough balls. Once you’ve been, you’ll definitely go back again and again.

This pizzeria at the bottom of Carnaby Street looks like it should be a tourist trap, with it’s neon sign and prime location off Regent St. Even once you’ve sat down and you can hear the slightly cheesy live jazz being played, you’re still not expecting much. But these aren’t your average Pizza Express pizzas — I have hosted a few parties and dinners here and the always unanimous consensus is that these are superb pizzas. Sure, they’re a little bit small, but they aren’t very expensive and the waitresses are good at keeping the beers coming. You can even have starters, pizza and a few beers each and still leave with change from £20/person, which is pretty good for this part of town. Highly recommended.
